Man, it may just be the settings, but I obliterated my Z33 time with the 370z. Can I switch? Just kidding. I guess I gave all morning tomorrow to get the 350 up to par. Was lapping pretty consistently at 2:11:500. (2:10:7 with the 370.)

Guys, can't make today race. I probably start the race but couldn't finish it because I have to go out of the city. Good luck to everyone.

Race 1 Summary
This first race was better than I thought! :D Initially, we had some connection problems, but after persevering a little, we made it through! Like the pre-race, two racers wasn't available for the race, but no one got disconnected this time! The race was clean, except for a small accident on Lap 12 (which I thought was hilarious!) I can't wait for the next race!

Congratulations to G8R_MaD3 for winning the first race!

The most annoying part is that I could have still come back if I didn't drive myself into the dirt 3 laps in a row.

And if we could've avoided that 🤬 crash!!! I could have avoided it, but for some strange reason I braked too late. If anyone has a PVR, can you please record the crash? :dopey:

That spin came out of nowhere, well almost.

I finished lap 11 with tyres still feeling fine so I didn't bother with pitting (was going to pit at the end of 12 or 13) and next thing you know my left rear touches the shoulder and the high speed spin resulted, scaring the crap out of me

I thought I would try and do the right thing and sit there waiting for the closer cars to go around and copped it in the door, so ultimately had to pit anyway. It was not easy to get it back even though the car still had speed as the wheel was 'centred' 60 degrees to the left :dopey:

Again, my apologies to you two gents who lost your lead because of it. I am just glad you don't 'feel' the impacts :D

I think I need to do a little more work on the tuning of the car, it handles OK but does need a little extra tweaking just to refine a couple of things I noticed in this mornings race. But overall, I feel I did OK for my first competitive online race.
This championship will push you to your limits!
Agreed, I think I didn't bring my A-game today :p

Here's hoping that we can sort out the lobby connection issues.

I was thinking, seeing a couple of TBD tracks, that maybe we should throw in Tsukuba? Japanese track, Japanese cars. It would need to be around 40-45 laps to set it in line with the other tracks for total time though. However, it is a very boring track to run that many laps and I almost went insane/did a self lobotomy doing the 9 hour

The reason I changed some to TBD is because I realized that boring tracks don't make for the best races. Originally, I had Daytona Road Course for Race 2.

Any suggestions?

I kinda like the Indy road course. Of the other real life circuits I would say Laguna Seca is the most enjoyable. I like Rome and London but both get long in the tooth after 10 laps. Grand Valley, Deep Forest?

The second race of the championship will take place at one of my favourite tracks! I hope to see all of you there. If you cannot make it for some reason, do tell me BEFORE the race. If you are absent for the third consecutive time, then I will assume that you are no longer interested in this championship.

Times

The lobby will open at 3:45 PM. No one is permitted to enter the track until everyone is there, or if they have my permission. If you have connection problems, tell me, and you can skip practice and qualification sessions. If you still can't join the lobby, you will have to miss out on the event.

Practice
-Practice starts as soon as you enter the lobby.

Qualifications
-Qualifications start at 4:15 PM.

Race
-Race starts at 4:30 PM.

You can still join now if you want. Two racers haven't raced in Race 1, and therefore they didn't earn any points. You would be in the same boat as them.

Heavy damage needs to go away unless people learn to be aware of what's going on around the track.

Pass attempts on hairpins need to be nixed unless you're already side by side. Braking way late and dive-bombing through the corner isn't a good tactic, especially when you're 5 car lengths back.

When it does happen, or someone misses a braking point, that needs to be treated as an incident and unless you have a clear run to get by someone don't try to take advantage of the situation. When something happens ahead of you on the track you have to assume the driving line is not going to be followed. That doesn't mean it's a free for all.

On the beginning of lap 3, I braked way too late and narrowly missed you.

Unfortunately, I do think that the penalty system is flawed. Would everyone agree that you lose championship points AND get penalty seconds added to your overall time? I don't think that adding penalty seconds is really doing a lot.

Edit: I forgot to mark down Kingvi1la's time, so I'll be posting the summary later.

Both are fine its just how are we/you going to determine how many points/seconds should be revoked. Maybe some kind of penalty for the next race? Late start, 2 mandatory pit stops. Just throwing other options out there.

I think I'll save your suggestions for the next season.
