What a bummer, only 3 of us showed. Let's try again next week and if the same occurs, just race it and post results. We can't delay races over & over.

P.S:
Don't want to sound petty, but based on the finishes I should have 11 points (6+7=13, -2 for jump start =11). You currently have me down as 10 points. As I said, not a biggy.

Whoops! Fixed! :)

Also, where was everybody? It was quite disappointing because I was looking forward to a good race today...

Hoping I can make it tomorrow but I have some friends from Minnesota visiting Seattle and I was planning on meeting up with them.

I believe I'll be at this race for the first time.
The timings are just really bad for me so it's abit hit and miss

Race 3 Summary
After a two week delay, we finally made it to Race 3! Lot's of close racing occurred today, resulting in many crashes

Congrats to Kingvi1la for winning the third race of the series! :)

Results
1. Kingvil1a
2. 1241Penguin
3. rumblina
4. G8R_MaD3*

*Whether or not G8R_MaD3 deserves the championship point deduction is debatable. The hit to Rumblina was undoubtedly unintentional, however, the hit had caused Rumblina to lose his chances of catching up to the leaders.

Any opinions?

Myself & G8R came to the same conclusion; wrong place wrong time. However I think you have essentially applied rule 14 from the GTPOLR for the situation. We do need to let G8R appeal if he feels it is a harsh penalty for the occurrence.

Cote will not be fun. Lots of tight areas resulting in possibly a lot of accidents (unintentional ones that is). I have yet to see someone intentionally hit another car in the series so far which makes me feel happy in the pants :) We have also seen some good racing from people too which makes me even happier, especially as this is my first foray into online GT5 as an organised thing 👍

G8R_MaD3, if you think this point deduction is a bit harsh, as rumblina said, you can obviously have your say at this.

I don't think I will make this weekends race, sorry :( I will try to be there though :)

Here's hoping you have numbers to run with...

Don't worry, there isn't a race today. I have a martial arts belt test tomorrow, so I need to take another class today to train. ;)

I will definitely there be there this weekend.. Just could not pass up my opportunity so had to miss this last race :D

No guarantee I will be there this weekend sorry, threw my back out this week at work and it is extremely to sit down, I will do my best to be there nonetheless :)

Race 4 Summary
Not a lot of close racing this time, but still a lot of bumps and crashes!

Congrats to Bones Brigade for winning his third race in the series! :)

Results
1. Bones Brigade
2. G8R_MaD3
3. 1241Penguin
4. morbo

See you all next week at the Nurburgring! :)

Not sure why youre penalizing yourself for bumps on me...

Lap 3 you were slower than I expected at the 2nd hairpin and had to slow dramatically. Morbo couldnt react quick enough and bumped me from behind. I, in turn made contact with you. It slowed you down even more and that resulted in the second contact from me. This was all at like 15mph so I don't think anyone was damaged. I took on a bit from the initial hit I took from behind, but it didn't do anything to the way the car drove.

When you lost it on the second to last turn around lap 20, you should have been more aware of the other cars on the track. You should have let me go by before trying to get going again, especially because it is a blind corner. I saw you against the wall before I made my approach and when you came into my view again after the left handed bit, your were reversing into the driving line. You also should have moved over much sooner after I reentered the track from the pits. This was a frustrating situation but I'm not sure it can be penalized.

In my defense, I was still getting used to the wheel and had quite a hard time maneuvering around. This partly attributed to the small incident on lap 3.

Much like we had a loose no passing guideline at Laguna for the the corkscrew, may I propose a similar idea for the final race? 6 laps is plenty to find a place to make a pass in either the GP portion of the Nurburgring, or draft down the big straight. No need to put yourself and others at risk trying to do something risky on a fast, narrow track. Obviously, I don't think it should be a rule, but a helpful guideline. If you can make the pass, do it, but the Ring is very hard to pass unless someone makes a mistake.

I can't think of any specific places where this no passing guideline should be enforced. I think the best way of preventing accidents would be using common sense. In other words, if the road is obviously too narrow for passing, then don't pass at all.

I will definitely be there this race, my back is better, etc. :)

EDIT: Plus it would be a lot of fail to miss the last race in a series :yuck:

I hope your including the "parade lap" in your race time equation (to keep all races at a similar total time), because a lap of nurb24 @ 125 kph is going to take a very long time, add to that the tyre wear...

Race 5

August 27 @ Nurburgring 24h (6 Laps) at 4:00 PM PST

The final race of the championship takes place at the Nurburgring. This track is undoubtedly the toughest in the game, but it also is the funnest track to race on. I REALLY hope to see you there!

Please note that due to the fact that the track is very narrow, you must take caution when trying to overtake other drivers. I am not going to enforce any "no-passing" rules at any specific part of the track, so you must be careful!

I'm thinking of starting the race as soon as you cross the first "checkpoint" (or whatever it's called.)

Also, my place on the championship results won't affect who gets whatever prizes (as I'm the host). So if I come within the top 3, and you are in 4th place, you will get a prize ;).

Thanks Super, love your work!

After having two offs in lap 1 I thought I was done for, but in lap 5 I caught up to G8R, both crashed, I overtook afterwards & the rest is history.

It seems that all series, zmikedz (Bones) had the upper hand with his tuning regardless, I doubt anyone could have caught him today 👍

Now that the series is over, I don't suppose you could give an insight into your tune Bones?

On a final note, I would like to thank all participants of the series. It was a lot of fun and gave me a look into what true competitive online racing is all about (my first series, and not much online in general). Congratulations to all involved and I hope I can race against some of you again in the future in different series, or similar :)

Next year during the summer, I might host either another Nissan Z Championship or a Nissan Skyline Championship. We can start discussing the next season! :)

Next year, that's an awfully long time away :(

I am possibly signing up to a Golf GTI IV cup series. Looks to be the same day & similar times.

Should be fun 👍
