Today (3/9/11) I will be doing the Daytona 500.
It will only be 100 laps not 200 because of time it takes but in the future I will do a 200 lap one.
Info
- Lobby will be made at 5pm (GTM)
- The race will start 5.20 (GTM) approx.
- It will be 15 racers & me in a Lexus IS F for the pace car.
- There will be a reward for whoever comes 1st & 2nd.
Rule/Regulations
- All drivers MUST have a mic/headset to participate, as communication is vital to running a clean race at Daytona
- All cars are power limited to 502hp, for more realistic speeds/times
- NO driving aids will be allowed
- Mechanical Damage is ON, and set to HEAVY
- Fuel Consumption and Tire Wear is ON
- Grip Reduction is set to REAL
- Race Clean - It's OK to let off of the gas (or even brake) so you don't run over someone in a turn.
- Pushing others to gain speed is allowed but NO hard hits that could damage their car.
- Any Nascar from GT5 is allowed.
Caution Lap Rules
- On caution laps the pace car will be going 60mph so slow down when your at the start/finish line.
- No overtaking other cars on caution laps.
- If you decide to pit you will have to join the back of the pack in the order you left the pits (double file)
- If your a lap behind tell me & i'll give you permission to get back on the lead lap but you join at the back of the pack.
- when everyone is ready the race will start when the pace car goes in the pits.

- If you would like to participate leave a comment with your PSN ID.
- I will not add anyone so its up to you to find the lobby.
- The lobby will be titled, NASCAR DAYTONA 500 GT & set to race for real.
- Only sign up if you know you can make the entire race.
- Once your in the lobby thats it, no leaving.
- Good racers only please, i dont want endless crashes and people moaning because they got spun.
- I will have everyones name down thats racing so if you join without signing up i will kick you.
Pitting
- Everyone must pit on laps 50 & 75.
- Failing to do so will result in you being penalised.
