Any racing planned for this coming weekend?
I sorely need to get some GT5 time under the belt to get up to speed again.

I wish I could but struggling to get enough work done for my exams next week ;)

Hay Ian good to see you're still around I had thought we had lost you permanently to iRacing. We need to get TCR up and running again.

I have a PS3 but need a monitor and a G27. (Thinking of maxing out the credit card for this 💡)

I can still create tracks if you guys want in the mean time.

Bart what you studing?

Hi Gents

I have a beautiful, fun three sector track ready for download from my GTP_Joylord account and would suggest a grippy car as the first corner is high speed with some love throttle control corners. I hope to be around on Friday afternoon so hope to see you there.

Where is everybody racing these days? Or should I say were are the gents with that racing pedigree.

My racing pedigree is notoriously non-existent but I hope to be on Friday evening once the babe has gone to sleep :)

Trying to make a living mate...the crisis is still hitting hard!!!

:ouch:

spy.
I feel you man. Well I hope you can find time for some fun as everybody deserves to be happy.

What you talking about.... you have race pedigree I've seen it. I like it "the babe" is she getting cute.

I had some good fun on Friday last week as I created a room with one of my tracks and the random guys that were online loved it. And so did I. I hosted the room with the touring cars at 525bhp with racing hards and it was good fun low housepower and lots of grip until it started raining which eventually the track surface was 100% which was tricky.
I almost had Gary join but I lost him for some reason.

I see there is an event GBRC going and I haven't had a chance to check it out, Alexi is it any good? or anybody for that matter.

captain tiggles gave me some good tips about how to use the controller so hopefully I should be competitive if I get online with you gents.

The TCR boys are back!

After an extended hiatus, we've finally got our act together to once again produce great race tracks and racing.

The world has changed a lot since we last raced, regimes have fallen, the recession has deepened, Steve Jobs died and hover boards have finally hit the shops. Oh wait, or am I thinking of Back to the Future?

Anyway, we've got a great set-up to get us started tonight. It's using a car that everyone should have to make it easier to join.

CURRENT COMBO : Mmmmmmm3

Thanks Mr A can't wait. Will be on hopefully on around 22:00 so hope to see you all there.

So this is the thread you guys were talking about! Had a couple of good races over the last few days. Didnt have any idea there was a criteria in place though, I'll get my CSL up to scratch and see you guys out there soon hopefully 👍

Cheers gents

Oh yeah, who's hosting tonight? I have Jon on my list but not turbo or Alexi. Whoever it is would you mind shooting me a PM. Ta :)

You tell me :)

Well done she looks really cute, Just to short to reach the pedals :)

Mr A's (GTP_imalexi) friends list is normally full so just send him a pm, But it's good to have you onboard. I'm still at work so hopefully will be online around 22:00 and hopefully haven't missed all the action.

Or maybe Mr A will post the room number and you could also join that way.

Good to see lots of activity. I'll be online this weekend as well :) See you then 👍

My M3's are ready to race.;)
It's good to have this back, thanks Alexi and Jon (and whoever organises things in the background).👍

room open: 1472 - 6118 - 4216 - 8215 - 1078

My cars 1277kg, if those CSL's of yours get down to 1200kg's I'll be mad! lol... I only have the one M3

You were doing alright last night Tiggles!
Might change it to 1250kg

Connection problems. Hmm, the menu loaded quicker now..

EDIT: Nevermind. See you guys when I've sorted this.

A small but select group last night providing some excellent close racing to blow the cobwebs away! Sorry to anyone who I knocked off through a combination of my rustiness and general lack of ability :)

Looking forward to some more M3 battles this weekend

Was great fun last night chaps. Nice to see the old skool gang together again, but will still need Neenor, Animera, Ren-Tec, Fastas, Cico and many more to join.

Jon has just given me a few more tracks for this evening, so will have a quick test session for 30 mins to choose a track around 7.30pm, then will start racing around 8pm.

Anyone who wants to join me, you're more than welcome.

Hey guys. Dont know if anyone will be inclined to help, but I'm not a great tuner and I could do with some advice.

I'm sure you've all experienced it, but at the night before lasts track in particular, my M3 was acting quite strangley. Normally in the high cambered corners my suspension behaved like it was bouncing off the bump stops or something. Is that whats happening?

Whatever it is, it causes loss of traction and I've tried, but cant rectify it. Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Not sure I want to share as I'm sure I had an advantage of sorts last night

I was using the suspension tune from RKM's Me CSL and it seemed to suit the track very well. I was running high 35's in clean air by the end of the night with a best in light slipstream of 35.3xx which is fairly competitive given I am in no way the fastest driver out there. I'd reccomend giving it a go as a base to start from at least.

Thanks very much Giant. I dont know why but I never even thought to look for a pro tune

I'll give it a go later on, some tune has to be better than no tune ;) Thanks again dude.

Interesting, as I'm useless at tuning, I'll give that tune a go too.

We'll be using a different track tonight, so your current tune my be alright.

I was using a virtually stock tune and managed low 35's in free air and mid 34s in slip, so I would recommend you start with it being stock until you learn the track, then experiment with a few tweaks.

You're right of course. Last night when we changed track the problem wasnt obvious at all. Did you notice what I was experiencing too though? In T1 on the previous one? I did notice you were using downforce so maybe it wasnt so apparent?

Anyhoo I'll bring my car as is tonight and have the RKM setup on a different settings page ready. No harm in trying ;)

I would also like to add that the tracks and car behaviour characteristics are very varied between online and offline but I will learn from this with future track creations.

I also notice that when you have a heavy cambered corner the car tends to bottom out therefore I believe it puts a heavy load on the wheels and speculate to cause the tyres to lose grip. If you use a track with heavy camber either raise the car or go for a grippier tyre. Just my two pennys worth.

I was naughty..... I have shared to many good tracks. But I would recommended GT Paddock raceway as this should offer good driffting and is easy to learn but time to master.

Hope to see you guys on track.
