Pengiun as I said on my other series, ive quit GT5 for the time being, due to my crappy internet and stress getting the better of me. Ill still browse the threads to see how are things and I will still set a benchmark for yas :). Btw what was the fastest lap of the race anywhere near 2:11.4? (No draft :sly:.)
 
My best was a 2:12.6, no draft. I couldn't shake cBc, so I didn't risk any mistakes and ran 1:16s most of the race.

I beat my practice best of 2'14, but just barely: 2'13.992, no draft.
 
Ah ok so I had the legs round there nevermind, as I said im not competing in any GT5 series for a while but I set a time for you guys to aim at for monza a 2:15.1.

Welcome to the fifth race of the series! Unlike the other tracks, this one has fewer corners, so no more front wheels spinning in the corners. :D Consequently though, the next race, also the last race, will be at the Nurburgring.

This is also the second race to have weather change. Be prepared to race on the dry and in the wet!

I am just wondering on the timing... if we start the qualifying race at 4:45, will we have enough time for a whole lap (assuming the qualifying race is 1 lap, not 2), and then getting back on track and ready for the race by 5?


I just did a couple of 2 lap races. My best standing start time is a 10'59.8 and my best flying lap time is a 10'51.4. Still a lot of time left, but its hard to consistently do a clean lap. I figure if I got everything right I could do a 10'45, but it would be hard to do that even once, let alone for a whole race. Curious to see what PaulMac can do.

That brings up another point. A warm up lap is going to take an incredibly long time, so the warm up "sequence" will only last until the end of the GP track. I'll show you guys what I mean in the lobby.
 
Good luck with the race tonight guys. Also Peter I did 2 laps for you, my first with errors was 10:32.xxx and my 2nd attempt with virtually no errors 10:25.059. There were places I was very cautious so perhaps another couple seconds left in me.. :)

With heavy damage set you really don't want to go off. The guardrails are really close most of the time and it can be agonizingly long to get to the pits. I had a 12'13 lap because of an off. I just let the right tires barely get into the grass and I was into the armco and limping it back.
 
Terribly sorry about today guys, but the connection was just horrid and there could've been a lot more people racing today.

Race is postponed 'til next week, at the same time.
 
It's good to know that the race its postponed, I was waiting to run at the nurburgring but had to go out of the city to do some shopping.
Penguin, I was online all the time but my ps3 was automatically doing a lot of remote races, sorry about that and not telling but I left in a rush.
If anyone wants some extra cash with remote races let me know.

The servers are acting weird again today, we might have to postpone again...

Been trying for nearly an hour to get the Pure FMSC race going with no success.

Great racing everybody! I had lot's of close racing with cBcvaBch, and lot's of fun too. I hope you guys had fun as well! :cheers:

And that brings an end to this series. It was really great meeting you guys! :)

I currently have plans for a completely new series. It's basically highly-modified M3's, C63's, and XKR's competing. Any thoughts?

Had alot of fun racing here with super at the ring lancer at daytona and pp0437 at monza it was a fun series.
