Stock rims slow you down. Aftermarket rims extend your first gear by .007 . This translates to a boost of up to .020 or more - I will test this further

I thought this should be public knowledge. If most of you knew this already - my apologies. But I never got the memo, damnit

Dang thats a BIG difference! thanks for letting us know 👍

Yeah man, was never able to get into the low 9.78's and couldnt figure out why

Just ran a 9.775, woot

Its a shame, the tuner rims look so dumb on this car. But I never had an issue at Indy with the stock steelies for what its worth. So I will continue to run stock rims there

Hmm, maybe that's why I hit a wall at 9.784.

I got good news for you, looks like the Chevelle is culprit to this as well

I know we have the same time on this car. Lets get to-it

Havent even touched tranny yet and its shaved off .010

Going to update the OP

That makes me wonder what mine runs with aftermarket rims....

Same here mikey. I'm at 9.781:)

Changed wheels on the Cuda, didnt touch tune one bit, now runs 9.775

I'll try the chevelle later today. I usually try different wheels on my cars but was hoping they didn't have an effect on the muscle cars, they look horrible with aftermarket wheels.

On standards it dosent matter, Rays BBS, any Rims bigger than stockies its gonna Reset, on Premo all Rims ok as long is not smaller than stockies, test them back to back, some will have slower 0 - 60 or 0 - 100 but they get same times ,....
