There were so many close back and forth races going on for 1/2/3 and also 4/5. So you may see that lots of times the same 2 or 3 cars are in the same from, this was over the course of the race.

Also, I'm noticing something in the replays and want to give some advice. We had a few new people running with us, but this could be a good reminder to all.

1. If you are using a controller to race, make sure L3 is not assigned as the horn button. During a race, people get into battles, and hearts get pumping. If mashing the left analog stick to turn, you're going to be beeping the whole time. This can look like you are beeping for the person in front of you to get out of the way.

2. Keep in mind that it is the person who is executing the pass to do so cleanly. I saw a lot of bumping in turns and even a dive bomb or 2 👎 Make sure that you are in a position to pass prior to executing the pass. This will make the racing more enjoyable for all and make everyone faster. If the leaders get tangled and fall back to 3/4 getting back on track, that will hurt both of the people battling for first from a points standpoint.

This is just friendly reminders based on a few limited instances within Division 3, not aimed at anyone in specific!

On the same token as well, there is some responsibily on the defending driver to make the pass attemp occur cleanly as well. If I see a guy going for a hole that probably isn't there, I will give a bit more space so it doesn't get ugly and I can still somehwat defend the position. Plus, I can now be on the offensive and now try and retake the position. This is sometimes the difference between finishing 3rd versus 9th. Heck I've flat let someone through on ocassions so it won't ruin my race. This also allows both people to fight another day without losing a bunch of time.

Also, I've seen a couple times now where a defending driver will leave next to zero room when a CLEAN pass attempt is occuring. What will then happen is the defending driver will crowd the passing driver and contact will occur and then jimmies get ruffled. If you crowd a guy a bunch during a clean passing attempt and slight (AND I MEAN SLIGHT) contact happens then all should be good in the world.

From what I've seen though everything has been pretty good driving and race craft.

I'll add my .02

If someone attempts a pass on me where there isn't a hole to pass on, they're getting nothing from me. If there is a wreck from it, talk to the person who tried to pass. Yeah it sucks to get wrecked and go back a bunch of places, but I'm not going to give a pass away just to avoid a wreck. Especially when the passing driver should have been more aware and realized that "I can't pass here."

They can pass me where it's safe to pass. You get along side of me, I'll give you all the room you should need.

The lead driver has the right to their own driving line. In the event they are being passed (before overlap is sufficient with the passing car) the lead driver shouldn't have to deviate from their line to allow the passing car a pass. It's up to the passing car to get around the lead car.

Awesome pictures doc!! I appericate you taking the time for that!! I agree there was times were it got a little dirty but not too dirty even with me there was some pushing in the 3 car battle but really it was pure clean! Thanks for the advice! I will keep that in mind, see you at practice tommorow! Again awesome pictures jay!

Race Recap

Division 1: Congratulations to Choate51 for his 100 Point win! In Race 1 Choate51 had the Pole and a clear track ahead him. He took advantage off it and easily won the race. The fight for 2nd Place was very intense between martin_ky, DREX81, and RacingOtaku86 and it went on for many laps. It all ended with martin_ky taking 2nd Place, DREX81 getting 3rd Place, and RacingOtaku86 in 4th Place. TX_Executioner and Psycho-Tuber battled for a few laps for 5th Place. Psycho-Tuber was feeling it a bit less than TX_Executioner who ended up with the spot. In Race 2 Choate51 and martin_ky battled for almost the entire race in what had to be a great race between them. martin_ky stayed hot on Choate51s heels until very late in the race with martin_ky finishing 3.177 back and Choate51 getting the win. DREX81 and RacingOtaku86 both had very good races as well. Finishing in 3rd and 4th Place respectively. The race between between TX_Executioner and Psycho-Tuber was pretty much a repeat of Race 1 with TX_Executioner taking 5th Place again.

Division 2: Congratulations to monkeyboy-4q for his 100 Point win! In Race 1 monkeyboy-4q got the Pole and never looked back. Great driving! FFK13 and Scarecrow937 made each others race interesting with FFK13 taking 2nd Place and Scarecrow937 close behind for 3rd Place. mbobb1969, shred-tec, and Johnny_Suede had a very close race with all three of them finishing less than 3 seconds apart for 4th, 5th, and 6th Place respectively. GTP_tzracer continues to make progress and finished with a solid performance for 7th Place. ScorpionPHVH57 rounded out the field in 8th Place. In Race 2 monkeyboy-4q had to go from last to first for the win. As you would imagine that is not easy to do. His reward, getting fast tracked to Division 1. FFK13 had another very good race. He also had to come from way back in the field for his 2nd Place finish. Johnny_Suede got into his groove in Race 2 and finished in 3rd Place with Scarecrow close enough behind to make it interesting for 4th Place. fumanchu11 and mbobb1969 had a fantastic photo finish with fumanchu11 edging mbobb1969 out by only .039 for 5th Place. shred-tec and GTP_tzracer weren't far behind for 7th and 8th Place respectively. ScorpionPHVH57 and ALLMAN246 both had issues and finished several laps back for 9th and 10th Place respectively.

Division 3: Congratulations to ph1sher for his overall win! In Race 1 iceandspice edged out Thethirdroy by only .602 for the win. Great race guys! iceandspice was one and done so he did not challenge for the top overall spot. ph1sher took 3rd Place with a very solid performance. johnsom and jaydoc_and_meech both had good races finishing in 4th and 5th Place respectively. redsox111820 got his feet wet with a 6th Place finish and matthewlong2121 rounded out the field with a 7th Place finish. In Race 2 things heated up a bit with a very good race for the win between ph1sher, Thethirdroy, and johnsom. All 3 of them finished within 4 seconds of each other with ph1sher taking the win, Thethirdroy taking 2nd Place, and johnsom getting 3rd. redsox111280 found a little extra speed and consistency in Race 2 for a nice 4th Place finish. jaydoc_and_meech wasn't too far behind for a solid 5th Place. matthewlong2121 rounded out the field in 7th Place.

I'm not too sure if I can make it to tonight's practice. I woke up with a headache this morning and continued to have it for a bit. I did take some medication and had a small nap, and while I feel better now, I don't think I should risk it. I may pop in to say hi, but that's about it. Good luck with the F40's tonight.
 
What's up Turtles, just stopping in to say I too may miss practice tonight. Working on a project that may run a little longer than expected. If I can make it on before its over ill be there!
