Hi guys! I am back and I am going to make some major changes to the GTPDC!

I know that in the past, there have been competitions where there have been some biased scores and some judges not turning in their scores on time. Well, that is going to change because now we have the support of one of the major moderators here, Der Alta :)

Here are some major changes that I would like to make to the GTPDC that may help make it more efficient and more fun:
- Add a horsepower limit to the professional division
- Make two different divisions completely
- Different scoring with five categories
- Dependable competitions (no dragging on)
- Creating a reliable panel of judges

It is a very long list to implement in such a short time, but I have looked back to the other competitions recently and I tried to find some places where the competitions could have worked better or more efficiently, so I am open to suggestions and I will see what I can do to implement those.

In the immediate future, I am going to create a thread where everyone can vote for a member to be a member on the panel of judges! They can even be a head judge! Obviously, there will be requirements and possibly interviews, but that depends on certain circumstances. So if you guys/girls have any ideas that would make the GTPDC/competitions any better, my ears are all open ;)

If you want to contact me personally, you can email me at dn12tennis@yahoo.com. dn12tennis is also my AIM screenname if you want to chat online.

Thanks a lot and I hope that the GTPDCs and competitions in the future will rock all the way, or even past GT4! :D

Also, I would like to thank silviadrifter for handling all of the competitions while I was gone. He deserves some props for being a "moderator" in the drifting forum 👍

EDIT

My bad everyone, you can post in this thread. I made the thread in the Test Forum and I didn't want the spammers to spam the thread.

Like I said earlier, I am open to suggestions! :D

LOL, there was a typo in the first post. It has been edited :)

Mods: I cannot change the title of the thread?! Could you please take out the *pls do not post* please? Thanks :)

Welcome back Mang! Not that I knew you before..... :dopey:

Anyway, Excellent idea.

and you're right. SD deserves a lot of props for the job he's done here.

AS far as judges go. I think a vote is a good idea. Bu then those voted in have to accept the responsiblity. Not just be like, "Cool, I'm a judge!" and push their little bit of power around. Not that I think any do that now. I'm just making a comment.

Other then that, I'm all about it. I hope to do a lot more challenges in the not too distant future. :)

Welcome back Thio... I'm not as interested in the comps as I am seeing you drift again. Think we can expect a new vid anytime? If you say yes, I'll say the same for me.

Welcome back, Thio.

Good to see you around. I'm here to assist and help in any way that I can.

Till later,

Before we get in over our heads here let's make with the team battle scores first, haha.

lol.... Good call....

I want to know how well we did......

You guys are too polite..... Thankyou....

I am happy to do anything I can to help this forum, and it's competitions, run smoothly.... I fear I do not quite have the leadership skills of Thio, but I do my best.....

Thanks again and welcome back Thio......

;)

The horsepower sections sounds great. No more Drifting against 100hp Skylines... hah

Great to see you back in the forums Thio ;)

I'd go the step further and disallow 4wd in GTPDC altogether.

I wouldn't ban it from the GTPDC, but instead have a special section for it (or a completely seperate competition for each drivetrain, on alternating dates.)....

;)

Oh wow, there are some good ideas already!

I stayed up late working on organizing some stuff for the GTPDC and GTP Challenges, and it is looking good so far :)

silviadrifter, that is a good idea. I will see how I can fit that into the new GTPDC.

Well, I have to go sleep now. It is really late and I have some stuff to do early in the morning, *yawn*

Thio! Welcome back bro! The changes look nice, I think it's a great idea. Also many thanks to Der Alta for offering his help to our little corner of GTP when he's so busy with all the other forums as is.

I think it's important to set up a good foundation for these competitions because this scene is going to blow up when GT4 comes out. Thio, I'd be more than happy to continue working with you on the web aspect of the competitions. Unfortunately 500MB of webspace isn't much to work with when it comes to storing archives of these things, we should find a more permanent solution. We can discuss that in PM's though, let me know if you have any ideas.

hmm... how much are you paying for that space? maby try getting a gig of web space some how.... that is if you willing to pay a few more $

thio where have you been if you dont mind me asking

welcome back dude.

good to see you again.

Cars should have to be washed and serviced & be running the default rims. My 2 cents

You have got to be kidding.... Please tell me you're kidding.....

Washed and serviced actually makes sense. But stock rims....that's just plain silly! :yuck:

Washing the car has no effect on it's performance, and what exactly does servicing mean, in a game where you cannot service your vehicle? (besides changing the oil)....

Also, I cannot see any reason to limit your rim choice, that's just rediculous....
