Quick Guide To Replay Checking:
  1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are soft and that the power is 418 hp
  2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
  3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
  4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
  5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.
 
What happened to Minolta_88? It would be interesting to see his final times! Congrats to all, and to all Div. 1...I dont know how you guys do it?!
 
WHAT?? Me? Where's Minolta? I'm preety sure he has a 1'23... Well, I'll take this probably undeserved victory and my replay will come soon.

A good and demanding race. Nice at the beginning, because after some time it gets frustrating.

In this thread, we attach replays to our posts. If you look at previous results threads, you'll find replays from those races. This week's replays will be posted soon. You should also post yours, even if it's unofficial, to teach us how to do it ;)

Amazing lap this week. Just goes to show what's possible from the "aliens" of the GT world. Glad to have you racing among us!

Now, for my own result... DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got really tired last night while playing, and got caught up doing laundry. So, I was going to submit my sub-par time this morning, but got side-tracked!

I had a 1'26.2xx that was clean, and I think my fastest clean was a 1'25.5, we'll find out for sure when I get home. Now, if I had actually spent nearly as much time as I'd have liked to on this awesome week, I would've been in the 1'24s. What a shame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be FORCING myself to not do other things so I can put some good time into this week's race. It's another one that I REALLY have to put some time into, as it's another GREAT one. Blah! 👎👎

Good on everyone who actually submitted! As usual. This was a great week, and I hope you all enjoyed it and learned from it as well.

Top notch times from EDK and 006, sweet laps guys.

I knew I should have put in more effort than 5 laps, oh well like I said I don't like this car or track much but week 139- watch out.

I didn't think I'd get a gold and quess what .....no replay :mad:
seems it may have been corrupted along with some other files from last weeks replays
CAUTION for those of us that are ignorant towards these precious files
GET IT ON ITS OWN CARD AND GUARD IT WITH YOUR LIFE
don't do anything with that card but guard it.....make that two cards if you have them, now I need another ubersave and I hope I didn't wipe out my game save, again
I have to race on a 20" screen with a ds2 controller until tv is fixed, wonder how I'll do :grumpy: and sorry don't mean to complain :)

And tough luck with the replays and broken TV. Those Max Drives sure are finicky! :crazy:

Thanks to you as well, Ron. I only have a few days also. Driving up to Portland on Saturday for the holiday. Things might get shaken up this week.

Nice recovery from the injury for a respectable D3 time, by the way. 👍

watched Erik's replay also and he was fast thru the esses from t1 to the tunnel and runs so close to corners, that's what I need to do more is drive those corners closer and hit those rumbles where needed, but I'm trying

Dangit I knew 1'27.5 would be gold for div2 this week... I could've shaved off enough time just in T1 for it, but it was never clean after that and I ran out of time to submit...

Oh well, nice racing everyone 👍

Yep, I put in Erik's replay last night as well. Clean and quick, as you say. His lowest speed in the 2 hairpins was 12-15 MPH higher than mine on each of them. That's where I lost most of my time.

Also lost it on the entry to the chicane after the tunnel and the section just after T2. Erik took the section after T2 basically flat out until the last chicane.

And Kyle - Yep, I know you guys are up there. Portland is my home town, lived there my whole life up until 5 years ago. I'll shoot you a PM to see if you want to link up for some holiday cheer. :cheers: Probl'y no racing for me, without the DFP. Been too long since I raced with the DS2.

Here is my replay. Tell me if I uploaded the wrong one, I saved three different laps and they are hard to tell apart on the ARmax screen. :crazy:

Can anyone tell me how you change your file name?? Thanks!

006r: Save from max stick to hard drive. Right click on file in hard drive, scroll down to "change name." Just make sure it's "changed name.max

that's how I do it. Somone else may have a quicker solution.

Edit: you don't have to save it to hard drive I just do that so I don't lose my replay. You can rename from usb port as well.

I know there is a whole thread on the subject, so mods, feel free to remove as off topic. But in the interest of helping out -

Here's what I have started doing, and it seems to save me some headaches.

All of my archived replays and multiple saves from an individual week of WRS are on one memory card. My other memory card does not have any replays. I delete them after the process described below.

Change the name of your replay in replay theater to something appropriate to ID your file. This moves it to the top of the list as the newest save.

Use the browser mode of the PS2 (On with no disk in or the disk slot open) to copy the replay to your other memory card. It will be the replay closest to the top left and easy to ID by the picture as well.

Transfer to max drive. I am sure to clean old files off the max drive before this transfer, but you can tell them apart on the PC by right click, properties and viewing the date.

Cheers to all the golds and here here to 006r for taking d2. I knew it was going to be close. My splits from the lap I submitted were slowwer, just with a smoking t3 throw down. Also I think you posted a replay of 1.26.824. Still good enough for the gold. Otherwise it was that lap was clean.

Also congrats to 01gtp for another gold. Keep on trucking and get up to d2 already!

Here is my replay. I know I could have pulled a high 1.26.xxx, but I just could not keep it clean. I guess that means I really couldn't have. Anyways it sure was fun trying. I had the splits just not the smoothness. The replay is a little rough in spots and you can see little things that would add up to a decent chunk of time. I had a blast in the combo though and am going to try at it again til I hit a 1.26. The Zonda is on the other hand going to be a wringer as in I'm going to slowly have to wring my splits down to hopefully a 1.03.

Looks like you hit the majority of the track well, if I may be so bold I would say the turn before the tunnel is what slowed you down some, think of the the 2 rights as one turn with a decreasing radius and grab some extra exit speed there.
 
I played with that turn a good bit in the middle of the week. I kept either catching the edge of the "guard rail" out of the first turn pushing too hard in third. Thus not allowing me to use that little bit of extra track. Or I would keep it clean and feel like I had to down shift to second to rotate around that second corner. I'll be checking out your line through there once I get your replay transferred to my ubersave card as yours was a "Ghost replay [1]" and I already had one of those on my card. Thanks for the tip and coming from a higher division never too bold!

I thought mtbikers driving style was like my own on this track, it was like watching my own replay, only faster
I can still watch my own replay and others but can not .max any replays from the uber...??????... oh well
