GT4 WRS Week 141 : Offical Results

Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" when all posted replays have been checked. After 7 days, any racers achieving a Gold time who do not provide a replay will have their lap disqualified.

Quick Guide To Replay Checking:

1. check the race summary, check that the tyres are Racing Soft and that the power is 464 hp
2. firstly, check the replay from the farthest top view (press R1 twice as soon as the race starts then X if you need to switch to the outside camera)
3. secondly, check the replay from the same view but in reverse (press L1)
4. if you suspect more than two wheels leave the track, freeze the replay ('Select' button) to enter photomode
5. if you suspect contact with a wall, check the data logger for any sudden spike in the cars speed under full throttle.

Yay I win a very fun and competitive week! 👍 Frustrating at times, but where would the fun go if there wasn't frustration? There's close results everywhere, congratulations to every participant!

I have already got my replays, since I was honestly expecting a gold (judging by the splits and by being confident ). I'm PAL

Congrats to all the golds 👍 What a fun week with bumper to bumper's all over the place.

Congrats to the division winners especially to chuk for edging me out! I know you put a ton of work into it. 👍 Makes for better sunday LAN's so keep at it

Hell Yeah!!! What a week!!!

I knew my time at the East was my downfall, but I also knew that I ran well at the Speedway, and the West was always suspect. [That T1 time appeared at a most inopportune time for me. ] At the end of the day, I'm just want to race and throw it out there. Sometimes I'm fast, sometimes not.

I second the congrats from Kenny to Cmir, for all the golds, to George for his first WRS Gold and to phatrick2332 for the great start in WRS.

I think the division 3 results are a great example of why this was such a neat combo. I was fortunate to take the overall

Kenny was next at +0.46 and phatrick was close behind at +0.25 from Kenny. We each took first in one of the individual races.

If this was a point system and not a total time system, Kenny would probably be the overall winner, with 3 golds.

Anyhow, it was great fun, and an excellent next to last combo from Sjaak. 👍👍

My NTSC Replays are attached. I know all 3 are here, but I have no clue which one is which.

I also viewed all 3 of Arora's replays. I second Bill's clean and green. Nice Job, Erik, smooth as silk!

I was able to verify Phatrick2332's replays for the speedway and the East course. Both are clean with correct specs. His West course file corrupted on my memory card. Same issue Kenny described with 2078TM's replay last week. I can't delete the corrupted data from the memory card, and I can't load it from my max drive again, because it says the file already exists. This is my only memory card the max drive will recognize, so I can only give Phatrick a 2/3rd clean and green, no fault of his own. If someone has a chance, please see about checking his West course lap.

EDIT i checked carlos' replays of week 141 and off course all are clean as a wistle 👍 👍 👍
funny thing is that each time i view a fast div1 replay they always do what i intend to do but with me it never happens

I have viewed phatrick2332's replays and they are all clean with the correct specs. Nice job. It looks to me as you used a ds2 on the east track. You will get used to using the dfp. The west track was very clean.

I checked arora's replays, all clean with correct specs. Way to go on the east track with awesome corner entries.

I checked EDK's replays. The east track is very close on the second right hander, but I can not call it off the track, so clean it is by me. The other two tracks are clean with the correct specs.

Now with 2078TM. I can not load the east track. His file says east but every time I load it the ps2 replay says west track. The other tracks are ok. Clean and with the correct specs on the speedway and the west tracks.

Can 2078TM and EDK check to make sure this is not on my end. Thanks guys

Thanks Kenny, for the replay check. I know I cut that second corner close, but looking from all angles, it was pretty clear to me that I was on track. Thanks again. 👍

Steven, if you know the correct line but can't get it, find braking markers and notice the speed at which each turn can be taken. That's what I do and it works for me. Learn how to exactly do each corner perfectly (brake point, gears, drop to how much speed and the exit line). If you have this clear reference of how to do a corner, you'll hardly miss it.

By the way, I noticed you're running quite fast this new week. Nice job. 👍 And I also like the pics you posted (I should type this at the other thread, but it's here just so that I don't have to make another different post )

I second that. It's a really bad idea to attempt to upload a large number of replays all at one time. Not only do you run the risk of the Datel software crashing during the process, it would also most likely fail half way through anyway. The reason for this is that each file has a memory card replay number, GhostReplay[1], GhostReplay[2] GhostReplay[3] etc, etc.... If two replays share the same replay number then only the first one will upload and the software will refuse the other one (and anything after that) as you now already have that number on your memory card.

If you want to know what number a replay file has then you can either open it up using Notepad and look for something like GhostReplay[6], or you can drag 'n' drop the file into this program I wrote that gives you a lot more for your money:

Really nice competition all around, but particularily in my Division. We'll be at the next venue hoping to battle it out again. 2078TM, Chuckabilly, 006r, Sjaak68, Snod blatter, and the rest of the Division 2's put on a good show....nice close racing.👍

I talked about that in an earlier post, and EDK says his replay version is ok. So your program should help eliminate problems like this in the future if more of us use it, correct? Would you check the replay its posted as the east track? Thanks

Sphinx, is copying a lot of files from the MC to the maxdrive dangerous too? Or is it just from the maxdrive to the MC? I'm thinking about making backup files for all my saves, and this subject came just at the right time

It does work, 2078TM just named the east and west files the wrong way round. The track that the program displays is the correct one. Every track/event has a unique number, all the program does is read that unique number and displays the track/event. 👍

I have learnt over time and to my cost that it is better to move your files one at a time regardless if your uploading or downloading. 👍
