Help Please! Patch error

Hello

Let me start off by saying that this site rocks:tup:

My problem is i downloaded GT5P from hong kong ps store...couldnt wait:) and now everytime i wanna update to spec 2 i get this image before i get chance to update...

Anyone have all the cars for spec 1(hong kong download) NPHA80025-GAME- (save data number...)

I know what it means "It says press PS button and quit game"

Please...what can i do?

Thanx4 quick reply...Thats the problem...when i select terms and everything...i get that message before download even start.I then keep in PS button quit then restart and it does it all over again.

Is the Spec II update even avaliable for the Hong Kong version, if so i'm really missing out.

Its the japan version...its out already,but cant update:grumpy:
 
why do you want a Japanese save for your HK version? do you want to rename the JPN file to make it works in your version maybe?

I'm not even sure Spec II is available for the Asian version. they didn't have updated the Asian website.

by the way, why don't you copy your current HK save (to a USB Mass Storage or Memory Stick), erase it from the PS3's HDD and restart the game afresh to see what happens?

Sorry...i meant...want save file that matches the one above...

My buddy updated his GT5P HK download version spec 2 last week already...im the only one with this problem.

Ok, thanks for the HK Spec II info! So they are just lazy bones at SCEH, not able to update their website even though this is just a mirror of the Japanese one. :)

Here's a few things to try:

*Make sure you use the same user that has downloaded the game from the PS Store when trying to perform the update.

*You can also try to remove your game's install file (not the game file itself) in Game Data Utility. The file where are attached your GT-TV/Course Guide videos.

*Just in case, set your PS3's system settings to "Update clock through Internet" instead of "Manual" (also use "Summer Time" if available). You'll get an error message if you don't set it properly.

*Try to erase your current game save (make a backup before!) and see what happens.

**You'll find JPN and PAL saves here. Maybe you can use one of these by renaming the PAL/JPN file to match your Asian version. It worked before with some PS2 games. Good luck! :)

**If not working (due to save encryption or else), you'll have to google Chinese GT5P forums.

ive tried everything and no luck,those saves are for spec 2...im looking for spec 1,maybe that data will help solve my update problem.
 
So there is an update for the Asian version...hmm. I've tried many different things and no luck.

Tried loggin in on my Hong Kong account...no luck
Tried Deleting my save file...no luck

Ok so not many different tries but two :). I've now deleted the game and am downloading it again, hopefully this will work. I'm still a little suspicious that there even is an update, why has there been no news on this?? But i guess you would have no reason to lie about it. It's not like it matters too greatly, my girlfriend reserved me a copy for my birthday so i will be getting the US version, but i still would like to have both versions...fully updated for a couple reasons.

So if anyone has any information of the Asian/Hong Kong version update, i would greatly appreciate any info.
 
I don't know if this is relevant but to update GT5p you could connect your PS3 directly to the internet. Don't use a router.
