I have been playing this game for a while now, and It seems like the Z06 is just impossible to drive unless you turn TC on or standard physics. I know your probably going to say take it easy on the throttle in and out of turns, or don't even use throttle at all going in to turns then gently apply when coming out, or you will say make sure you don't give full throttle until your going in a straight path. I know all this already but for some reason if i even touch the throttle the slightest bit coming out of a turn the back end tends to spin out a ridiculous amount. It almost seems unrealistic. I just find it so hard to believe when people say they win particular races with all driving aids off on pro physics and get gold on it with ease (unless you have your wheel settings for steering type on amateur instead of pro or simulation or have power steering turned on or something along those lines). My friend even played for a bit and he has played all the Gran Turismo games as well and he also noticed how bad it was. He used the controller and had no problem at all which by the way it's not that he just isn't used to the wheel because believe me he has used the wheel plenty of times. I seem to have similar problems with cars such as the F430 and obviously the Ford GT but I'm just getting really tired of it. I don't know what the deal is either a lot of people are lying about there driving settings or they are using very easy wheel settings.

I am using the Driving Force Pro by the way and my settings are as such.

Steering Type
Simulation

Power Steering
Off

Force Feedback
10

Then the driving settings are Pro physics all aids off. I'm mainly just having this problem when i do races when i can't tune obviously because if i could tune I could fix the problem. I currently have unlocked S class but im waiting to do races on it until i complete C-A with all gold. Which by the way I still need 2 more gold. The Evo race and the BMW M3 race of course. I have silver on the Evo and bronze on the M3 after i get gold on both of those then i will start S class, but unfortunately I did have to use standard physics for the F430 race and a couple others. I don't know I'm just really frustrated right now and so confused because people are always saying they drive all these cars such as the Z06, F430, and Ford GT with pro physics on and all aids off so easily and do so well, yet if i come out of a turn with these settings I literally can't even touch the gas pedal or i go into a spin. I have practiced numerous times and can't even begin to even do decent with these settings with specific cars. I don't know what the deal is could it be my wheel settings I'm using or what could be???

Keep the revs up through the corners - sudden application of throttle from nothing is instant death. Also be gentle, both in lift off and power on. Try and "feel out" the grip.

Also look for a decent tune on these forums - toe settings are pretty important where these cars are concerned.

Finally - R3 tyres.

MR supercars are not an easy thing to get the hang of but, once you do, they can be a hell of a lot of fun to drive.

And yes I drive them with all the aids off and pro-physics - you just need to learn how do do it properly.

Well, according to need4holdenspd who is a respected tuner and some other people, the ZO6 was underrepresented in the game as it shouldn't drive as wild as it does, haven't tried it myself but I've heard that before.

EDIT: You should try some other tunes, and yes driving MR cars, as pent4gr4m said, is not an easy job, of the ones you mentioned I think the F430 is the easiest one as it is very balanced, in most of those cars it all comes down to being smooth with your right foot.

Why don't you switch to Standard Mode to beat the EVO IX time trial? It's easy to do 1.12.5 laps (gold is 1.14) when in Standard.

Go through a few online races with TC to 1, then when you realise your not as quick as you could be turn it off, you will have a feel of the car then, you have just got to keep the throttle low in the corners...you will get the hang of it ;)

Well I just drove the Z06 not too long ago with all aids off except ABS on 1, pro physics but used R3 tires and i dominated, (didn't tune anything only switched the tires). Found out I was using like S3 tires before lol guess that could be why i was spinning even if i barely touched the gas with the slightest bit of a turn. S3 tires probably don't work well with such a powerful RWD car. The problem is though in a lot of the S Class races there are tire restrictions. I tried using the Z06 on S1 and can't do it due to the tires, is that bad? Is it even possible to win S1 with the corvette? What do you guys recommend?

By the way does that F430 race in A class have tire restrictions? I can't remember.

Well on s-1 there are no tire restrictions it's just that there are PP restrictions, you could add weight and remove power to get better tires, I did this with the Tuned Elise.

And yes the F430 race is restricted to S3 tires.

Ok, thanks for the advice everyone.

It is very difficult to win in S1 using the Z06 and Standard physics, so it's going to be doubly hard using Pro.

All events have a tire restriction.

Oh all events do have a tire restriction, ok that's what I thought because I tried taking points off so I could get R3 tires but it wouldn't let me. I don't have a whole lot cars right now because i planned on getting the f2007 really soon so I sold all the ones that I don't really need as of now but I do have the M3 still would you recommend using that for this race event or is there another car you think I should buy for it? I would like to not buy any cars right now due to the fact of wanting to get the f2007. I just didn't know how well the M3 would do in this event, and by the way I have 700,000 credits right now.

Actually, in Pro mode, the M3, Z06 and F430 are going to be very difficult, if not impossible. For a non-tuned car, I'd suggest the NSX Type-R, it is faster than most of the stockers.
Your best chance would be with something like a Lotus 111R/Tuned (@100K, it is a bargain). The top AI car is, usually, a Lotus.

Or, you could just do it in Standard mode, get your T-shirt and live happily ever after. :D
