A different way to race with each other

Instead of planning exact times for us to join a race to play together, how about we try sending lot's of GTP members PSN friend invites on your ps3. Once you have lot's of GTP members on your PSN friend list put the race that your currently doing in your comment. That way we know which races to join. For example if you are currently doing 600PP Suzuka, then put that in your comment so other GTP members know, and they can then join and race with you. Then when you switch to a different track, for example say 750PP Fuji. Simply go to your comment on the PSN friends list and change it to 750PP Fuji. Just seems to me like it would be a very easy way to get into more races with each other. I don't know, just an idea. Tell me what you think.

I can do that, but I believe the chat room and the clock are still the best way to ensure GTP starts.

Good Point, but it will get kind of stupid when I change tracks mid game. I will have to log off the game and change it. lol Just a little pointless.

I will try to keep it up to date with what I am doing. But you know some people don't even look at their friends list before starting the game. *I being one of them*

But like you said, options. Good thinking.
 
Hm. I thought there was once a TeamSpeak server in use here?
 
This is easy for me because all I ever play is Suzuka 600, lol. And I can´t use chat etc, since Ì have to switch the cable back and forth.. :(

Bluetooth headset + Adapter = win? That is, assuming your PC is close to your PS3. Just throwing a possible option out there..
 
Good idea.
The bad thing is we can't access our friends list while in game...message, or read messages without first quitting the game. I don't see why Sony hasn't updated the software to allow this. Put the game in the background and allow us to open up a transparent view of our PS3 friends list so we can read messages, send and chat without having to quit a game. They already have a way of interrupting our game play with notifications that we receive messages, or that our friends are online or offline. I'd like to see this in an update soon.

XMB has been confirmed by people who work at EA and is rumored to be realesed on the 10th of june

Don't forget: this is Sony, after all. "Home" still isn't even close to being released when it was supposed to come out more than 8 months ago. "Confirmed" makes it a little more hopeful, but I'm still a little skeptical. By the way, why would EA know about this and make a statement instead of Sony? Seems a little strange :confused:.
 
i'm loving the in game XMB, makes it so much easier to reply or send messages to racers that you have just had a good race with.
