*Balang project total is 42 my mistake..

Typhoon Racing
Championship leaders took both 1st & 2nd in yet another show of dominence.
Although one driver seems to be getting closer to splitting Typhoon.
Could Typhoon possibly have 2nd snatched away from them at somepoint?

Nihon Racing
Even after Keiichi Tsuchiya's horrific crash last week he absolutely flew round the track & almost split Typhoons drivers.
His confidence is sky rocketting & he believes he could soon be snatching 2nd in future races.
It was a good race for the team taking both 3rd & 4th. Putting the team & driver Keiichi 2nd in the Championship.

Balang Project w/ RE-Amemiya
The team could've taken 4th & 7th but 0.1secs denied them of the extra points & as a result took 6th & 7th.
Unfortunately this 6th for Balang saw him drop to 3rd in the Drivers Championship.

American MC Racing
John Heinricy once again showed some real pace by placing 5th in a very tight bunch of times.
Dean Martin again seemed to struggle compared to his team mate clocking a time almost 2secs slower than John. The mustang doesnt seem to be able to get the same good pace as the Corvette.

Infinity
Action Jackson's 350Z finally showed its lack of power on this track.
Unfortunately it just couldnt keep up on the long straights.
TestoJack put in a good time considering his crash at testing & the fact he's had to get used to a totally new car. Will he get scared on Laguna Seca & worry he may crash again?

Importatori Italiani
New team to the series with anything but new cars. The team is using the oldest cars in the series.
Could this be the reason the team placed last in the race? Could it be the lack of testing as they were late entrants? Both drivers were struggling with the set up for this track.
Whatever the reason I'm sure we'll see the team improve in the future & maybe scoring their first points.

The next race in the BTC's schedule will take place on Laguna Seca.

I hate that really sharp turn. Going 130+, all peaceful, BOOM! I MISSED THE TURN AND HIT THE WALL!

BTW, you got the wrong map and track at the top of the post.

Yep, that's the beaty of this track. So hard to predict that one turn you wouldn't normally do at suzuka :D

And map is currently showing Trial Mountain.

But for those who don't know , we are supposed to be driving this track:

I have no idea why I put Trial mountain map on this.
We will be racing Suzuka West!
Sorry for my moment of stupidity yesterday.

This is my first time I've been on this in GT4 too. Went on it on Forza 2 like once.
It should be fun to learn the track. I dont have a clue what a good time will be =/ 1'10 1'05 1mins I just dont have a clue.
Should be interesting to see the times for this one

I'm really surprised some of you guys never played Suzuka West. My Subaru is doing MUCH better than the Stagea. I'm not too surprised by that.

Im slowly eating away time, atm ive done a 1'09.xxx, probably quite bad...

The main problem is actually completing a clean lap, because it all comes down to how fast i take the first corner....

Report from team Infinity

Our Lotus Esprit V8 has faced an accident while testing at Laguna Seca.
The accident happened in the Cork Screw at 160Km/h when accelerator had gotton stuck.
The car got airborne and hit the road coming down with sutch a force,
that the suspension twisted when the wheels hit the ground.
The turbo overheated in the accident so that it melted beyond any use.

TestoJack hit his head hard and has suffered from continous headache since the accident. Painkillers are in use while he is recovering.
Due to his stubborn nature he insists to race as soon as the car has been repaired.

Thanks to full covering insurance the crash didn't cause any funding problems for repairing the car.

For safety of the future races team Infinity has desided to install only stage 3 turbo in the Lotus.
This also leaves some more funds for replasing the suspension and transmission parts.
The engine gets a port polish and new ECU.
There is also enought funds for further weight reduction and hood replacement as the previous hood took off while airborne and got lost.

When the car has been repaired it will have about 620BHP and will weight about 1150Kg
New rims will be fitted so that the car will look different and
look brave again after the Cork Screw accident.

Holy **** you lost the hood?
Hmm the accelorator got stuck eh? Sounds fishy to me >.>
With Keiichi's mysterious crash & TestoJacks accident you might want to check if it was tampered with..
Could something/someone be causing these unusual accidents?

The Racing Goads are playing with us.

After resuming serious testing at Suzuka West & giving the cars well earned Oil Changes something which was previously overlooked, Nihon Racing driver Keiichi Tsuchiya set an absolutely blinding lap of 1'07.948.
He did run wide at the first corner but because of the rumble strip it looks as though only 2 wheels touched the grass at one time.
Although this is within the rules of the BTC Nihon Racings Team Director decided not to use the lap incase it sparked controversy & told Keiichi to keep pushing.
It seems that it was a perfect lap because now he cannot break back into the 1'08.xxx.
Mr. Tsuchiya puts this down to the chassis losing alot of rigidity after all the testing he has one with it. Unfortunately the team says its too early to rectify this problem.

As soon as we reached Suzuka West, we tried out our two cars for the first time, but we didn't find them as fast as we expected.

Franco Salina found his used RX-7 pretty good on the slowest corners, but he noticed that the Mazda hadn't enough power to be competitive. After a few laps, he ended with 1.13.831.

So, we focused on the other car, which is slightly more powerful, but also has worse suspensions and chassis (Probably its 20 years of racing and >80000km have seriously ruined its rigidity.)

Renzo Falconeri soon noticed that his Nissan 300ZX was understeering too much, and the team spent hours trying to set the LSD properly. In his final laps, he managed to beat Salina, with 1.12.225. He was disappointed when he discovered that, because of the oil, which hadn't been changed since the very first tests, the horsepower had fallen from 656 to 635. "Maybe, with that missing 20HP, I could do a little better", he declared.

I hope we'll resolve our problems for the next race, so we'll be seriously competitive.

Times submitted

TestoJack is feeling better alredy as he has been able to spend few hours in his newly repaired and upgraded Lotus Esprit V8 .
Action Jackson is pleased to see his team mate recover so quickly and being able to focus on Suzuka West.

The Lotus has now 617BHP and Weights ~1160Kg

There is also a new carbon-fiber hood fitted to the car :D

MadMax

Looks like Renzo Falconeri needs to moan at his engineers about setting up his car if he's getting understeer, but then again drivers always moan about understeering.
They are still pretty good times in such old cars. Definately Renzo's 300zx I tried that car but couldnt get any real pace out of it.

P.s
I see you found a replacement hood for the Lotus eventually :)
Its good to see that TestoJack is feeling better.
Keiichi Tsuchiya is also feeling great after posting some impressive times in his new RX7.

Results are posted
Times were pretty spread out but there were some really close battles!
Good race everyone

Balang Project w/ RE-Amemiya Team.
We couldnt seem to find good setups for this track especially the RX-7, Balang struggled to post fast laps due to mistakes being made of the Turn 1... hopefully we will be back on form for Laguna Seca, the competition is very good, so we will have to really work on the next rounds to remain competitive. Well done to Typhoon Racing for the amazing times and Tsuchiya for achieving an amazing lap despite the accident.

To me that looks like the usual Stidriver 👍

He has done this for some time now :D

And when the settings are right it's possible to be smooth , IMO.
Take it from me as I just won in my divison at GTP_WRS week 20

MadMax

Looking at your vids I'm guessing your using a wheel of some sort? I dont think its possible to be that smooth with a dualshock.
That vette does look like its rather nice, doesnt seem like its that fast though but the times tell you it damn well is!

Dc
Thanks all on the laps. I am using a DS2 controller. I had a DFP but it broke some time ago and still needs to be replaced.
