I feel that the Serious Imports club was a bit limited. Even though about 99.9% of all cars in GT2 are Japanese.

USDM/EUDM Test Course Club

*Banner coming soon*

  • All forms of racing on the Test Course are welcome to join, that includes 400/1000m time attacks AND maximum speed tests.
  • No Japanese cars allowed, you want to go to the Serious Performance Imports Club and talk to Glanza-V.
  • Also, no hybrid cars allowed. I've never had the good fortune of having a Gameshark before, and I'm sure others haven't. Let's be fair.

With all the serious stuff out of the way, let's all have some fun! The club's welcome for people to have a good chat about setups and cars etc., and for discussion on what projects everyone wants to undertake next.

Also, please post pictures of the car in the home garage screen AND the record screen when posting up your records. Screen-shots from ePSXe in the run are also welcome, but not mandatory.

Members:
  • Benzoboy
  • A.A.Z.

How to join:
To join all you need to do is have at least one car you will be using for whatever record you want to do with pictures where applicable. Members are welcome to put a link to the club in their sig, as I will be doing.

Leaderboards:
Max Speed
  • A.A.Z.-|R|Venturi Atlantique 600 LM-400.82kph/249.07mph
  • Benzoboy-|R|Dodge Intrepid ES-313.56kph/194.85mph
400m

1000m

Right now I have a |R|Dodge Intrepid ES that I'm using for 400m times. My main goal is to do under 10 seconds, I don't think it'll be too hard at all. When I do that I'll be constantly setting myself more targets until I simply can't do anymore.

The installed parts on my Intrepid right now are:

  • Racing Flywheel
  • Computer
  • Port Grinding
  • Turbine Kit Stage 3
  • Racing Muffler
  • Weight Reduction Stage 3
  • Racing Car Modifications

Which parts shall I install next? And after that's done, what setup shall I use? I'm a total noob to the world of GT2 car tuning, and, well, car tuning in general. So any help is appreciated.

Update: Abandoned the 400m test, gonna try getting 180mph/289kph on the max speed test. Mod list right now is everything but LSD and TCS systems installed. With the stock settings I got 267.28kph/166.09mph, not too bad. Shame about it not having a 6th gear. I'll give it another go in a minute with a longer gear ratio.

You are Joking.

I reckon, low elevens, that's all it's capable of. Maybe high tens.

By the way, just as an example of some of my last year's idiocy:

Hmm, maybe you're right.

I would abandon the project but I'm afraid I've spent too much on the car to simply sell it for 6,165Cr. Maybe a top speed goal of 180mph?

The PAL version is in kph so the magic number is 289.67. I don't think it'll be overly hard but you never know, reckon it's an achievable figure? If so, what should I do to get there, setup wise AND parts-wise?

By the way, cool video. Shame it's a hybrid. You got any other non-hybrid cars you want to join with?

Woo! I got 313.56kph with the Intrepid! Impressive for barely any setting changes, gonna aim for 320 and finally 330 if I can do that.

I'm also adding the leaderboards. I would like to add that all members can have as many cars as they want in any discipline (400m, 1000m or Max Speed), just let me know!

You should make a special category for non-modified cars, and another for tuned cars.
I'm not gonna post all 1/4 Mile times (56) I have but here is a few ones :
- Simulation tires
Shelby Cobra 427 - 13,324 @ 196 kph
Ford RS200 Rally Car - 12,479 @ 179 kph
Vector W8 Twin Turbo : 12,050 @ 201 kph
RUF CTR2 Sport : 11,756 @ 197 kph

I'm sorry, I don't have any proof, but I think that those times can be performed easily.

I'm in... just tried some quite fast italian cars... it's a shame Alfa Romeo never released cars with big engines, and that in GT2 you can't apply a Turbo to the 3 litres versions of ARs.

Alfa Romeo 145 Cloverleaf
- 4l 2lt. engine, 335HP
- 1113Kg (301 CV/ton)
- Race/supersoft tyres
400 meters
12.567 @ 180Km/h (112Mph)
1000 meters
22.731
Max speed test
295,39Km/h (183,58Mph)

Alfa Romeo 166 3,0 V6
- 6V 3lit. engine, 410HP
- 1343Kg (305 CV/ton)
- Race/supersoft tyres
400 meters
12.274 @ 185Km/h (115Mph)
1000 meters
22.030
Max speed test
307,73Km/h (191,25Mph)

[R]Alfa Romeo 156 2,0 TS 16V
- 4l 2lit. engine, 357HP
- 1067Kg (329 CV/ton)
- Race/supersoft tyres
400 meters
12.295 @ 186Km/h (116Mph)
1000 meters
22.258
Max speed test
301,55Km/h (187,41Mph)

It's quite strange that the 156, which has the best Power/Weight ratio, has been slower than the 166 in the max speed test: probably, it was caused by the turbo: 410CV obtained without Turbo are a lot better than 357HP with Turbo...

Hmm, I might have to break out GT2 all over again tonight, seeing as this one involves drag racing...time to unleash some muscle cars methinks? I hope people can keep this one going, we've had a lot of good groups on here kind of peter out, i know not many people come on the GT2 forum much anymore but I know I'll be trying to keep it going (bit rich of me to say seeing as I haven't been on here for the last six months or so :P)
