Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:

Well since the tyre type is restricted to prevent tyre staggering I might have to have a go at this one too.

Hi :),

First 10 Laps :dopey: (Driving Force GT):

T1 - 0'32,351
T2 - 0'54,613

Good Laps 👍

Ah, the lovely HSR , decent rubber, ok car, tuning stuff available ... much better than last week's locomotive with no front wheels :D. Every component available for a nice WRS week.

Nice going Sjaak 👍

Luxy will be up tomorrow when some more splits will have been posted. Looks like Haitham and me are a nice couple in terms of leaderboard continuity.

I'll be making a setup today for this.👍 My current Mazda 6 is a Tougue car.

Edit: And some first splits

T1- 31.969
T2- 53.741

Given that nature of the combo this week, probably not much to come off that unless I find a new way of tackling some corners that is faster.

Edit 2: My tune is out now btw.:)

First splits with the TLD-tune (thanks Paulie 👍)

T1: 32.506
T2: 54.602

First run resulted in these splits:

T1: 32.439
T2: 54.571

I've seen a T1 of 32.1xx a couple of times so I should be able to improve a little.

New splits already with Paulie's tune:

T1: 31.860
T2: 53.738

A stable, comfortable tune Paulie. Its easy to drive it. 👍

Nice splits Animera.👍 Almost indentical to my own to T2.:)

Leaderboard initiated.

My own first splits, after about 20 laps using Paulie's setup:

32.763
55.158

Already noticed the difference in speed with ABS=0 but can't get thru the braking corners right. Springs and braking settings may need a little work.

Already noticed the difference in speed with ABS=0 .

Say what? Is ABS = 0 faster or something?:odd: I'll keep things the way they are I think, ABS=1 :ill:. Oh, and there's a small typo on the leaderboard, I have 53.741, not 53.731.:)

Sorted, and yes it looks like turning off ABS gives you a very small power advantage but the engine reacts differently coming back to power after you braked, or so it seems to me anyway.

That's wierd to say the least, that ABS should affect anything but whether or not your brakes lock up.

First splits.
Using TLD's tune as it's certainly faster than my own.

32.153
54.184

I try to patrticipate this round, going to be working on the setup offline,
in 100 lap races VS AI where I get to race without slipstream.

Then once I have a good tune I race this online at my friend's place

No complaints sofar?

So the car is ok,tires ok?

.................;):P..

Using TLD set-up.

32.071
54.006

Nice to drive, but you do need to use lift off oversteer. Still a bit more to come from me.

That's really weird, I tried the TLD setup and I had absolutely no lift-off oversteer whatsoever, quite a bit of understeer in fact. I raised the camber values considerably, raised the rear ride height and immediately went something like 0.4s faster.

EDIT: Spotted my gaffe, I had rear toe to +0.40 instead of -0.40. Now lets try that again...

All the best
Maz

Small thing, Maz :D

I tried your idea of more rear height and more camber. Well, I went quicker at the line, but was about a tenth slower at T2. Whether that is those changes or just a better line through an important corner, I'm not sure, but it definitely affected the times through T1 and T2. I'd say, slightly more camber, but ride height should still be maximum low.

I'm a bit ashamed to ask, but what's lift off oversteer? :indiff:

When you're on the gas you have grip and when you release gas/acceleration button or pedal your car starts to oversteer. (while turning)
And you are able to catch the oversteer just by getting on the accelerator again. 👍

I'm a bit ashamed to ask, but what's lift off oversteer? :indiff:

Never be ashamed to ask anything, Andy. (within limits obviously, if you ask what the right pedal does we may have to shoot you ;)). Never be ashamed about asking about driving techniques you haven't heard of.

First splits:

T1: 32.071
T2: 53.895

As always with High Speed Ring, I'm never quite sure what it is I did to go particularly faster on any given lap.

All the best
Maz

T1: 0'32.421
T2: 0'54.615

First laps, with plenty room left (maybe a tenth or 4-5). (at least with my limited driving skills )

Tune can be found over here.

.................;):P..

The car and tires are ok.
But why this direction?

Just kidding Sjaak!!
Sorry if my/our comments about last weeks combo offended you.
It is great to hear the positive comments but also a bit tough to hear the negative ones.
I think it's good for us to be open with either, positive or negative.
Dan had replied to one of my comments with a "Booooo" and his reply was more appropriate than mine, though not worded the same way.

Again, I'm sorry if I offended you.

This weeks combo is easy to go many laps in a row bumper to bumper with the ghost.
I just love hearing that turbo whine.

New splits.
