I don't know what you guys personally think about other racing game ,but if there is one thing that I noticed and that bugs me with the interior view is the inaccuracy of paddles shifting :

It just feels so weird ,so unatural in particular in the case of PGR4 or the upcoming need for speed Shift(you can barely notice them and the drivers hands seems off )

(I hate this thum movement everytime he shifts )

We already had a glimpse with the F1 2007 and I just hope that the extra-time they spent on drivers animations will do the game justice !

We don't know if GT5,has or hasn't! Because we haven't seen, paddle shifting in GT5 yet.

they should learn from atari. I just love the paddle shifting animation in test drive unlimited, simple and natural

The F2007 in Prologue has a very good animation imo.
Im pretty confident we will get really good mo-cap animatons in all cars in GT5.

When I paddle shift in my real life car, it's very smooth, and it's to the point of being so subtle, that most of the time, nobody in my car knows that I am paddle shifting. Sounds like it would be easy to implement.

Hopefully this one for online

The weather effects are great, the game misses some better shadows, but it sure looks pretty good.

Btw. the cockpit view is a bit off, why is the driver sitting so far left?
The steering wheel isnt even in the center of the screen.

You mean right, the steering wheel is more to the right.
I believe this is so you get more of the scene through the side window, therefore giving a greater sensation of speed as things go bye. I hope to see this view in GT5 actually.

No the drivers "eyes" are too far to the left (thats why the wheel is too far on the right) thats what i mean. ;)

Oh yeah, how weired. Surely they modelled the proportions of the cockpit right?

In the latest video of the GT5 Demo with the Enzo on the Nurb, (driven by Mimaximax),

i noticed that when he switched from Manual Mode to Automatic Mode... there is a discrepency i'd like for Kaz to remove...

When driving in Manual Mode, you the player shift the gears yourself, and therefore the appropriate in-the game pilot hand movements should react accordingly as we all know by now...

But for those of you who drive in Auto Mode, the animation on the screen should NOT show the pilot changing gears... Dont you think?

Because by definitions, in Automatic, the car Shifts gears for you AND the pilot already, therefore, we theoretically should NOT see any hands movement on the screen... it's an automatic ...

what do you think? Somebody ought to tell Kaz RIGHT NOW BEFORE HE GOES UP ON STAGE during E3 AND MAKE A fool out of himself... he has to retract this game and spend more time fixing this bug!

Automatic is manual shifting itself in GT, so the hand movements logically are present ( in auto default mode ) apart from cars which are automatic IRL whereby already you don't see hand movements.

A default setting doesn't suddenly change the real nature of the cars driven ( no matter how unnatural it is to drive certain cars as automatic, just a I find some cars unnatural to drive as manual when I know they aren't available IRL as manual ).
I started a thread about this called "automatic transmissions".:)

I agree TDU sure was years ahead of its time with the little details and innovation.
