No way, I would still buy it and just not use it. And I wouldn't play with anyone who used it, or pay any attention to the leaderboards that included it. Rewind is for arcade games, not sims.
EDIT: Is this supposed to be a troll post? I guess my troll detector is broken :(

Apparently about 25% would refuse to buy GT5 if it had rewind... no, 90%...
