GT5 Prologue - Suzuka - East Course - Stock Ford Focus.

I haven't played GT for 4 years. I spent a little time here with a stock Ford Focus.

My time is a 0'58.063 lap. I have the replay attached to this thread. (Ghost Replay) The time was done in Arcade mode.

The times are to be done on S2 tires.

I realized what I was doing wrong and came up with a 0'59.059 lap. It's not perfect, I think I might be able to drop a second off of this but it would be hard.

Anyways, here's the replay. (The first post will have it)
 
I darn near got a second off.

My new time: 0'58.063 (Replay in first post)
 
59.894 is my best time, however this was done on S1's and not S2's as I imagine yours was. I'd like to have a go and give you a time (so you can see how much quicker you are than me!) but it will probably have to wait until next week as I have a pretty busy weekend coming up.

I was disappointed when I looked at the db.gtrp.de database and saw 56 seconds for the fastest time, then I realized that they were doing these times on R3's.

I guess that not many (if any) of the top guys have tried this on R3's simply because I ran a 3 lap race (from the B class) at Suzuka East Course in the Focus and had 2 0'55.xxx laps. Since it will not let me change the tires, I had to do this in a race that used R3's.

I saved the replay, and although the first lap I had contact with the AI, the 2nd and 3rd laps are clean.

My fastest lap was the third with a 0'55.529. I reallly guess that some of the faster guys have NOT tried this. Although it makes me feel good to have had 4 years off of GT and have the fastest time at a certain track. (I cannot figure out how to submit the time though.)

How do you guys run hot laps in Time Trial when my version of GT5P doesn't let me change the tires?

I am going to go back to that race and try and top that lap time.

Time Trial only lets you use N1, N2, N3, S1 and S2 tires. You can change your tire choice in the race options menu 👍

Just before you start your time trial, where you can change between auto and manual, racing line on or off, you have no choice to change tires :confused:

Nope. I cannot change the 🤬 tires. Not in Arcade Time Trial.

The tires used are listed (S2) but they cannot be changed. The combo boxes used to change the tires are disabled. (meaning unselectable)

Have you done the Spec III Update?

Spec II did not allow you to change tires in Arcade Mode Time Trial.

No I haven't. And I cannot get my 🤬 PS3 to connect to the internet either.
