The Drift Rally Challenge Series

drivers have seventytwo hours to achieve and post in this thread their highest possible score from one lap of drift trial at each of the following courses, using only cars from the relevant permitted car selection. Drivers may make multiple entries before the stage deadline, and with different cars from the permitted selection, if they so choose - only the highest score achieved by each driver will apply to stage and championship results.

Permitted Car Selection (applies to all stages except no. 8):


series rules

evidence of points scored should be presented in the usual format i.e. screenshot of 'My Records' screen that appears when selecting 'Drift Trial' for a particular track. please post here on the site - you don't need to PM me, i shall try to update a leader board once per day.

drivers are required to use only 'professional' driving physics, but may use TCS at their own discretion. there are no requirements to use a particular combination of tyres, drivers are permitted free choice. use of ASM is prohibited.
stages shall be run for 72 hours each, and as soon as one has finished the next shall begin. new drivers may join the competition at any stage.

the series is a league with points allocated from 1st to 6th for the six highest scorers at the end of each stage as follows
- 1st 10pts, 2nd 7pts, 3rd 5pts, 4th 3pts, 5th 2pts, 6th 1pt.

‡ special stages feature a road track and the following additions to the normal selection of cars (cars from the normal stage selection may still be used);

* the bonus stage is an open stage - all are welcome, and the result will not count towards the league standings unless there is a tie for the championship after Stage 7.
The bonus stage has its own exclusive car selection, drivers may not use any cars other than those in the permitted list (see below).

Bonus Stage Permitted Car Selection:

the bonus stage will only count toward the final series result if the the series championship is undecided by points after stage 7, in which case the highest scoring, of the tied championship contenders in the bonus stage, will be declared champion.

no, it's fine. official start tonight (four and a half hours time).

good effort, i was quite impressed by the rs200 too when i was testing over the weekend. try the Renault 5 and the Lancia Stratos .

Holy points!!! I tried for about 8 hours at work, allen watched some of this and the highest I could possibly get was what I posted. Now I have to try some more.....

sorry gentlemen and ladies, life has been a lil' busier than usual - have now updated the results, see 'series schedule' of first post. some very exceptional scores there too, will get my score on there soon. anyone got a video they can post of their replay, particularly the high scorers?

there is still another day to go on this stage, so hopefully everyone will be able to improve on their scores a lil' further still.

one hundred and forty minutes remaining for stage one, and then stage two begins!

I gave this a shot just for the hell of it, using the Stratos, and linked a full lap of excellent drifts... just to wind up with a 15623... lol. How in the hell is there room to add 6k points to that?

I guess drifting (at least by GT's point system) just isn't for me. I'll stick to time attacks.

absolutely.. the version you used is the correct one - some screens do not give the full name for cars, tracks, etc.

F2007 PSP, it would also be good to know which car you used to achieve your 15500 @ Ice Arena..
