I PROPOSED TO HEATHER AND SHE SAID YES!!! :)

I was planning to do this for Valentines but the situation with my dad caused the process to happen a few days earlier than expected. We have been together 7 going on 8 years. Our plan is to get married next year around the 4th of July 2011. So as you can see it has been an emotional rollercoaster lately.

edit. Added ring pic

We are waiting for her real ring to come in. They had to size it down to 5 1/2 but this is the last thing I purchased.
This is not the actual pic of her ring but its very similar.

Congratulations. It sounds like it was a long time coming. The way you talked I figured you all were one of those couple that were just happy living together unmarried.

Well, boy. First I'm feeling for you, now, I'm congratulating you.

You just want all the attention, don't you? :sly:

Congratulations, buddy.

Well that is good news. I'm glad to see this part of your life is going well! You two seem like you're well suited for each other. Best wishes!

Congratulations mate, its good to have something else to think about 👍.

I can't take this emotional rollercoaster, I'm happy for you, but I'm getting off this ride!
*Undoes his safety harness and steps off the ride*

Congratulations

Wishing you and your future wife all the best that life has to offer.

Well congrats on this one.

I sense a muscle-car themed wedding reception. Better get her fastback together, painted, and driving.

Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean everyone is screwed.

Just because you had a happy experience doesn't mean everyone gets lucky.

I prefer to see the glass as half-full, rather than half-empty. :)

CAMAROBOY69, congrats on the upcoming wedding, and may you live happily ever after, especially with all the other crap going on. 👍

Congrats.
Nice to see that you got an upside in these times and someone for support. Wish you and your fiancé all of the best for your futur.

PS: Nice pony

And I see it as twice the size it needs to be!

And CAMARO, congratulations! My sympathies to your wife though ;). Only joking, hope the marriage is a long and fruitful one!

Well congrats on this one.

"Does anyone here know of any reasons why they cannot be married in holy matriomony?"
*V8 revs aggressively in the background.

Congrats 👍

Offering condolences in one thread and now I have to Congratulate you.. Nice one! Good luck with everything!

 That's probably why it'll be in 2011. ;)

Best wishes, CB.

Congratulations, an important decision in life. 👍

I had bad experiences with friends that married late (after 7 years relationship or more), they seemed to be quick with divorce :grumpy: (less then 2 years later generally).
So do not forget, this is the real thing, work it, make it work and have fun together!!

Thank you everyone for the replies. Its funny how her 67 Fastback Mustang was mentioned. We were thinking about having someone drive her up in the Mustang. Then when the wedding was over we would drive away. Her dad did something very similar but his wedding was outside. Ours will be inside just in case the weather is bad. But I dont know if we are going to do that with the car. The car has a LONG way to go before its finished and would require a lot of money and work that could go to the wedding instead. Plus I think we would prefer to ride around a limmo. I guess we will have to see how it goes this summer. If we can make some decent progress then maybe we can use it. But we are not planning on using the Mustang at this point.

rollercoaster, indeed. Congratulations, Now your sons will drive a Mopar and a AMC... a 10- second Pacer, I hope.
