GTP WTAC Division and Points Ranking Qualifier
Dear TACers,
a new Division and Points Ranking System is now at your disposal
! From now on you'll be able to choose between being in a division and have points every time you run or just run for fun !How does it work ?
1. Divisions
Simple : each Division member (only 3 members per Division) will be granted by points every time he run in a WTAC accordingly to the division he's in ! It will work like this :
Div 1 :
1st : 12 pts
2nd : 10 pts
3rd : 9 pts
Div 2 :
1st : 9 pts
2nd : 7 pts
3rd : 6 pts
Div 3 :
1st : 6 pts
2nd : 4 pts
3rd : 3 pts
As you can see, Div 1 3rd and Div 2 1st will be granted the same amount of points, as well as Div 2 3rd and Div 3 1st. This is a way to be upgraded or downgraded from one Div to another, best laptime will decide who's going where.
First driver to reach 48 points, we start over but keep the last session's ranking for the Division.
If someone qualified when a session was already on, he will be able to run but will have to wait for next session to be able to start with his new rank, modifications will be made in the Divisions if needed.
To be a little bit more specific :
Challenge after challenge we will be rewarded points that will decide our place/rank in the Div itself or from one Div to another. By the end of the session (48 points), we'll all have new place/rank in each Div. For the uncoming session, points will go down to 0 and we'll keep the place/rank we have in the Div we were at the end of the previous session.
In that way, someone who was in Div 1 but didn't compete for one session will lose his place in the Div challenge after challenge and might even be downgraded to Div 3 ! Then he'll have to fight back to be in Div 1, won't be easy but it is possible ! And if you think it through, if he was in Div 1 and was downgraded to Div 3, if in the first challenge he's the fastest of his Division and faster than the Div 2 Bronze, consequently will be promoted Div 2 Bronze at the first challenge ! If he keeps on the good work, he should be back in Div 1 by the end of the session, but not without some fights
!2. Division and Points Ranking Qualifier.
If you're interested in this Division and Points Ranking system, you'll have to Qualify first (it makes it easier to know in which Division you should be in referring to the same Car/track combo for everyone
) To Qualify and be eligible to be in this Division and Points Ranking system, you may have to run this Qualifer :

3. Car specifics:
- Transmission: either
- Tires: S2 / S2
- TCS : off
- ASM : off
- Active Steering : off
- Driving Physics : Professional
NO quick-tune options allowed, you MUST run with the Default Settings.
Hybrid cars, the use of CFW tuning or any other way of cheating is forbidden..
4. Time submission :
Using the http://demo.ovh.com/en/ feature, you'll have to send me (easyasashii) by PM :
- your details,
- Ghost Replay Data (Please refer to this post for instructions -thanks Glubags / BTW, EUR version will have "UCES*****RPLY" prefix instead of "UCUS*****RPLY"- on how to locate your Ghost Replay Save Data.” compress it in .zip or .rar format.)
- Photo (a picture of your Ghost Replay Save Data information screen from the main PSP menu -accessed by choosing Saved Data, then press Triangle on your Ghost Data and choosing Information- showing the Date, Course, Vehicle, Lap Time, Physics used, Tires used, and your GTPlanet username written on a slip of paper. ).
5. Rules :
You'll have to follow the Host and Compete in a GT Planet Time Attack Challenge (GTPTAC) !
Just to remind you :
Clean or Dirty lap :
- Colliding with or using walls, fences, cones or other obstacle is forbidden. All times submitted must be 100% wall free.
- Two wheels (except when airborne, where the vertical projection of the car onto the track counts) must be in contact with the tarmac which does not include all green/grassed/sanded/graveled areas.
Rumble/ripple strips :
- having two wheels/tires on a corner's inside rumble strips and two off track is considered unclean
- having two wheels/tires on a corner's outside rumble strips and two off track is considered clean.
6. Your Laptime
Your laptime will be kept secret
!7. IMPORTANT
Do not discuss privately or post publicly any of your splits or final times, or anything relating to this qualifier that would help another driver to improve on his/her final lap time. By taking part in this qualifier you therefore agree to this very strict ruling.
