Only 10 Venom GTs will be produced per year.

Yep. Or 1200 hp, if you have the money and the stones.

Yeah, I voted Sub-Zero.

Only 10 customers will have deposits taken off them for no end-product per year.

Edited for accuracy.

Sadly, the legacy and reputation of Hennessey takes away a colossal chunk of whatever cool this car might have.

Theoretically, this should be insanely quick, and if it maintains any of the handling ability of the Elise it should be pretty good in the bends too... assuming it has a very good traction control system, that is.

But one million dollars? For a car from a manufacturer with zero heritage and little credibility? They're having a laugh

A Caparo T1 is less than half the price, has over 1,000bhp per tonne, has a proper amount of downforce, and they've actually built some.

Meh

Seriously uncool. Hennessy stuff is for rich poseurs who will never touch any potential the car might have, which is of course taking the huge leap of faith that Hennessy even manages to build some and that they don't burn to the ground.

Seriously Uncool, they basically took a Lotus, stretched it and threw HP in it(how original:rolleyes:). Not only that it basically voids one of Lotus's best qualities in it's handling. It's one thing to tune a car, but at least make it better.

Everyone's ideas seem to be similar to mine. I just asked what the hell it was so I wouldn't be caught off-guard making assumptions. Seriously Uncool; I bet handling a piece of balsa wood in a tornado must be easier than this.

This. Basically. I thought about giving it a subzero... then thought Hennessey... maybe just a... no, not even that...

Seriously uncool. At least it looks better than a 9ff. A little bit.

And: $850,000 for an Elise?

Uncool. I'm all for more power in an Elise but not significantly altering the chassis like this.

Well, first, I was going to say uncool. It's a million dollar Hennesey. But then I remembered it's a 1000 hp Elise. Cool.

Almost not even worth dignifying this with a vote, but I had to voice a Seriously Uncool.

There simply hasn't been a successful attempt at making the 111 chassis hold its dynamics with that much power. Lotus' GT1 was never really that competitive, Esthi took two cracks at this and neither worked, the bitter GT1s were also horrible. The car is not meant to take so much horsepower and still be as great a car, especially when the tuning company in charge has absolutely zero experience with this sort of vehicle.

Lame.

Seriously Uncool. They took a car that is probably one of the best sports cars out there and made it worse. Plus it focuses on top speed, which I find is an incredibly stupid trend among automakers.

A ruined Lotus that's just too damn expensive.

Uncool because you can still say "I have a twelve-hundred horsepower Elise"

I think it looks cool! And the Hennessey place is a quick drive down the highway from my house, so there is a local connection!

The Lotus Elise/Exige needed more horsepower to it, at least in my opinion...

But this is way over the top. 1,000 is WAYYYYY too much...

UNCOOL

The name : Hennessey - that alone can make any car SUB-ZERO

The guy is a genious.
