Would be a pretty awesome feature. Can be quite heavy on the server, but seeing as there never seems to be a problem with the server...Use it on a site I run and it works a treat.
Oh I know the server will be busy, but no doubt Jordan has that covered with excess. Live threads would be perfect for GT5 release. In fact, if they were only active in that forum, it'd still be effective.
