One of my all time favourite bands. I even love Eddie Vedder's solo work, as well as Temple of the Dog. But then again I grew up listening to 90's grunge rock.

The lyrics to Black literally helped me our during a bad time that I am still currently going through.Check Sig. And Yellow Ledbetter isn't that far off.

Daughter is a great song, and Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town is one of my favorite songs to sing because it goes from low to high pitch.

Alive and Jeremy are also among my favorites.

Last Kiss was in my top 3 favorite songs growing up. And I still love it today.

Eddies solo work was good, too. The tracks he did for Into the West are amazing, especially Rise

And last, but not least, you cannot find a Better Man than Eddie Vedder himself. His use of vocals as another instrument are amazing. My hat is off to him, and my heart is thankful for his magic.

This. Have you listened to Mother Love Bone? Temple of the Dog was a tribute to the late lead singer Andrew Wood

HOF

Definately HOF. These guys did so much for rock music in general. Also Vedder is a hell of a dude. He also sounds good by himself with an acoustic, which I never expected.

Hall of Fame for sure!

I love these guys, I always have! I like the fact that they perfer to remain out of the limelight. They usually play smaller venues, when they could easily sell out the Basketball arenas and Soccer stadiums. They also release albums in mom and pop record stores instead of having the big guys get all the sales. And their music is fantastic too! I love Yellow Ledbetter, easily my favorite song of theirs. Alive is another really good one.

I put a simple good. I think AiC is better when it comes to amount of good stuff released but Pearl Jam has released plenty of quality music to get a 'Good' vote out of me. I think they are more borderline HoF but don't quite make the cut as I don't think they ever really hit a plateau where a overwhelming majority of their music is very good. But they are one of the bands my dad kind of engraved in my head in the 90's.

I still can't deny that they are one of my favorite bands, despite their tendency to suck lately. Weak late albums aside, they are still one of the most cohesive bands active today, and really, to understand why they are SO good, you need to see them live.

Last week, after a loooooooong Pearl Jam hiatus, I was listening to the bootlegs of the three shows they offered here in Mexico City in 2003. First time they came to the country. The three of them were absolutely extraordinary, amazing, beyond words... to this day I dont think I've ever been to better shows, and I've seen plenty of stuff since then. They really know how to catch their audience, and their playing is incredible. Ever heard how lame Evenflow is in album version? Live it is a sloshing volcano. Mexico's crazy crowds and Sleater Kinney on stage helped too, but the part they had to do was amazing.

I realy wish they could go back to the day when every album they released was really solid, but that ended with Binaural. From Riot Act to Backspacer they've been so-so to bad (Riot Act is unbearable). But really, I think I can't complain. It's awesome they are still kicking around. I really hope they'll come back again after their rest. It's been since 2005. I'd like to see if they can still provide such a good show.

But heck, even if they can't put down another 2003, I'll still destroy my voice singing along.
