with 200 premiums, how do you know that you are actually racing with a premium car?

so just a quick question: if I want to find a premium car to race with in the game, how do i determine if its really a premium car since both the standard and preimums are all mixed???

sorry for makinga whole new thread on this but i had to ask. 👍

I'm pretty sure that when you go to buy the car that it will say premium in the bottom left corner,at least i have seen that in videos before.

They have interior. And they are only available in the "new cars dealership". Standard cars can be bought in the Used Car lists.

I think thats it.

Dealership -> Premium
Used -> Standard

99% sure of this, saw it in a live gameplay session where someone told me in the chat.

edit: MS Turismo beat me to it...

Plus... you look at it. Not to say the standards all look terrible, but the difference is pretty easy to see.

Compared to a premium, it looks less interesting,but not less fun to drive. Thats the better way to describe it. :)

Dealership sells premium cars, used car dealership sells standard. We can win both premiums and standards as prize cars, as seen in license tests. Premium and standard cars are also separated in the garage on different tabs.

Picture this: Imagine if GT5 had just 270 premium cars. Actually driveable by the player. And the other 800 was only driven by AI. You coudn´t buy them, drive them, nothing. People would say: "Omg...what a shame..just 270 cars, and 800 cars that ai can race and we cant. OMG. They could let us to drive them, even without interior view."

Now, lets go back to reality, and imagine that we have 270 premium cars ( 3d art gallery worth )and 800 cars that can be raced, modified and enjoyed. Dont seems bad at all huh? People had a blast with GT4, cars even worst than they are in gt5 ( sounds and physics ), dont understand why they´re complaining now...

You will know depending on how much drool you have to wipe off your mouth.

Premium - Bring a towel
Standard - Kitchen Napkin will do

thanks for the help. that is nice that they have organized it so that you can easily keep track of the two.

btw, does anyone know of the premium cars also have jaggy shadows? sorry, had to ask! i am getting the game regardless but i'm just curous about this...

Yes the shadows are not the best on premiums as well. Watching a NASCAR video earlier today, I noticed the shadows aren't that great at all on the exterior surfaces on the cars. The shadows inside the premiums are very nice though.

You have all good points here. Except standards cant have there wheels changed, but you have all good points:tup:

It say's premium on the screen , in arcade mode it is in the bottom right like another user said , also if you look at the car list , the letter P indicates premium while S indicates standard car.

Sorry if this has been asked and answered somewhere on the forum, couldn't find it.

When browsing through the cars in the dealerships I can't seem to find whether a car is standard or premium. It's visually clear for some cars, but not for all.
Do I need a master carlist lying around to know whether a car is S or P or can i find the info somewhere in the game.

I feel a bit :dunce: since I would think that the information is somewhere on the screen...but... I don't see it.

I believe that there is a small box on the selection, with an S or P in it to define whether the car is standard or premium
