For me, the 1st super GT race in rainy suzuka. I used an untuned Yellowhat GTR, and god, between the fact that it risked to slip away at every little error, and the fact that the AI was really on the ball, I got first at the last corner (even due to an error mid race).

My hands are still shaking :D

Formula Gran Turismo World Championship @ Suzuka Circuit. I swear, I spun so many people unintentionally, I remember being alongside a red FGT and I bumped him, and then spun right around. I eventually had to make an amazing back-to-front run and eventually won. What a disaster. :D

Well I only got the game 3 days ago but so far even the beginner races have been quite exciting.

- Barely winning the Vitz race. Took the basic 88hp Vitz prize car put some basic bolt ons and fixed race suspension and sport tires on it. The AI would pass me on the straight sections but I would be right back in front after pelting the car through the corners. Had an OK lead coming on to the final straight on the last lap. They gained on me coming down the straight but I still managed to win by half a second.

- Winning the Trial Mountain FR race with my stock 160hp S15 Silvia. Had a good battle with a Honda S2000, swapping places numerous times. He was actually slightly ahead in the last couple corners on the last lap so I charged into the left corner and overtook him again but because of the speed the car starts to step sideways through the right hander. I was thinking I'd hit the wall and lose after all that effort but managed to hold the slide and take the win. 👍

I had a great race in the S-class license test at Laguna Seca. Coming onto the main straight I got underneath the 1st place car and drag raced him to the finish line. I lost by a nose, my heart was pounding. It seems like only Gran Turismo games can suck me in like that.:)

Like the Wind Daytona - I had a superior car, but spun out on the grass, twice (I was nudged by a car behind me the first time). The 2nd time I spun, it was the 2nd-last lap, and put me back in 3rd. I raced like a madman the rest of the way, and passed the lead car on the final straight.

Lambo Countach in that historic race car race(deep forest).

2J all over me, passes on the left before the final left turn, hes not all the way to the right and can't hit the turn normally and I pull a wicked late apex, pass then block the whole straight for the win.

Any time I pull the caterham out it's a good time. Even just watching B-Spec Bob take the FR race in the caterham was pretty sweet.

The extremely difficult Historic races with the Countach. Nabbing the lead in the first couple of corners then holding the racing line perfectly while fending off the Chaperals stabs for the rest of the race.

La Festa Cavallino. Grid full of premium Ferraris; Californias; F40's; 360's and Enzos. Bright blue skies of Monza. Noise on the grid was pure music. Power sliding with my 512 against a couple of Enzo's through the Lezmos. Perfect.

I will tell you, when I have one. Too easy to beat the AI, yet.

If you always tune up every car to the max, it can seem like that. Try taking a stock car to some of the events for more of a challenge. Its often more fun like this. And it costs less.

Daytona in the NASCAR Championship. Lost by .05 many times before I finally won it by .009.

I can tell you, that I never tune my cars at all. Sometimes I add a sport suspension or sports exhaust...thats it.

But also, I didn´t even race many A-Spec-events at all. I got some S-license-test GOLD at first try...and thats what let me know, that the AI is beatable very easy.

I am not that "drive a Ferrari against Fiat 500"-guy.

Try the A-Spec events. There is a lot of challenge in there from the AI.

The pickup truck race at Daytona, stock RAM. Those Tacomas just don't give up >__> ended up losing by 0.2s

License races are completely scripted to be beatable in a certain time. A-spec races are a different animal altogether.

Yes, they are. But the problem is, that I even hadn´t much problem with the special events. Made them GOLD completly in two days.

But you are right, at extreme series, some of the races are a bit harder.

The Italian race at the Rome circuit in a Lancia Delata versus the AI Lancia Stratos.
That was one epic battle.

NR-A roadster cup in Tsukuba. I lagged behind getting used to my new Eunos. Took me a while but finally managed to get a few decent laps in and caught up the first place Miata on turn one of the last lap. That one I really enjoyed. Love the fact that FR cars' back ends step out in GT5 if you give em too much throttle coming out of corners (nothing like GT4 !!)

Use a weaker car, that's the key.

Try Fireblade 7 on the british lightweights, and a cobra on the Super Car Nostalgia Cup, no assists. You can add sticky tires if your not up for the challenge :)

Camaro Z28 RM-Historic Cup on Deep Forest, battling with the Toyota 7.

Took first place into the corner before the back straight. I had the advantage on the inside part of the circuit and he had the advantage on the straights. He would always cath up to me on the Start/Finish line. I had to fend him off every lap and only won by a couple tenths.

MR race with 458 Italia. Had a Mclaren F1 and Saleen S7 all over my tail down La Sarthe's straights just trading places.

Came 2nd, but that was before I realised how hard you could push the 458. Next race was even more challenging trying to stay ahead and not over cook it in the corners in the last sector.

I think I just had it. All Stars series, Nürburgring Nordschleife, ZR1 RM. Got by most of the cars easy but for 75% of the lap I was clawing at first, which was a Peugot 905. Every time I would get on his tailpipe, a turn would come up in some odd way and I'd have to brake, losing a car length or two of ground each time. Finally got by him, held him and a LMP-ish car off on the straight and finished first, even if it was close.
