Before you use the Chat, you must first post successfully on the regular forum.
If you are getting an "Invalid User Name" error even though you have completed the registration process, it almost certainly means that your first post on the forums has not yet been approved. Also, posts in this Site Feedback forum do not count, because the permissions for this particular board are slightly different.
If you have made a post but it has not appeared yet, please be patient and someone from the staff will get to it soon. If you have not made a post, find an interesting topic and make a constructive addition to it, We will approve it soon.
Please note that posting "+1" or "lol wut" in the first thread you find will be unlikely to get approved.
Also please note that it takes some time for the server to process the account updates, so you may still not be able to get into the chat the instant your first post is approved.
