I think with Dakar at the minute VW is always the favourite (in cars that is, I'm not up on my bike info but love watching them). It's as much fun just watching the situation develop as the next few days go on and then work out who you're rooting for.

I love an underdog/privateer mixing things up a bit and with the Dakar there's usually one of those to cheer on.

Both the US big guns (Gordon & Miller) have had big problems today. A real shame as they both seem like nice blokes on interviews etc.

So glad the Dakar is back. I've been putting my support behind the Nissan team for awhile now. They seem to be a loer profile team, atleast with media cover, but they still seem to do pretty good every year. Plus the had Mcrae when he raced Dakar.

Nice to see Coma back on top and the new champion in the cars category. It's amazing what the bikers had to go through. Hat's off, especially to the privateers

Good effort to all involved, some excellent action over the last few weeks especiialy Al-Attiyah and Sainz battling it out in the dunes.
