Will there be new Seasonal Events?

The 1st series of bonus races expires tonight. Personally I'm excited to think of what we may get. I sure hope there is a new set. I'm also hoping that if there is a 1million dollar bonus race again that it's on a track that I'm familiar with.
 
We already have a new lot, bonus race 2 etc. is already up, we'll get the bonus race 3 given to us soon id of thought.
 
I know about the second set. The first set is due to expire tonight. I'm hoping a new set comes up to replace them. I was just wondering if and what they might be.
 
If they don't put some more on when the first one's expire tonight then I would think they will go on when the second lot expire. Im hoping so anyway as I can't see these being it really.

A formula one car race would be good I think.
 
Perhaps the season of giving is now over?
 
I don't think we have any way of knowing, I think we'll get the new set of races in a couple of weeks time though.

I know they expire today - but at what time? I'm in the USA on eastern time. I'm gold in everything but the GT-R race. Between my lack of skill and the fact the GT-R is a stupid fat pig of a car I can't get better than 1.2 seconds behind first place. I might have about an hour to play tonight - hopefully the contest is still open then.
 
I couldn't get the 4th one Road Course Indy using the Dodge Challenger to load. The blue bar goes up to 100% but the game just sits there...
 
Did you apply a good tune? I bet I'm a worse driver than you, and I got gold on that one. I used a tune I found here, Avid Racing maybe? I was able to turn much better after finding the tune that apparently fit my driving.

Gotta drive the wheels off the beast. I found buying the Torque Distributing Diff was a good purchase.
It is 70/30 by default . I adjusted it to 60/40 and it made it much nicer to drive tho I'm sure other settings would work well depending on driving style.

I did also stick all the aero bits on it as well and peeled all the weight off it I could.

According to my UK PS3 they end at 3AM GMT. so that'll be 10pm EST.
 
Yep, they expire at 10 PM EST. I am still doing the first set on my 2nd account and I have two races left.
 
The name Seasonal Event clearly implies it wouldn't be a year-round thing now would it?. Of course I hope I'm wrong here.
 
I certainly hope there are more seasonal events... they are incredibly fun.

More Nurburgring please!

Yeah - I got a tune from the forums and went from 14 seconds behind first to averaging 1-2 seconds behind first. I still think I have a little too much understeer and get slowed down too much to correct it. I'm using the '09 SpecV.

10 pm EST actually gives me some time, so I'm going to try hard to get it tonight!
 
I'm hoping that the online dealership also refreshes tomorrow after these events expire. I belive the last refresh coincided witht he release of bonus race #2.

I did a quick once through each of the bonus races....which one paid $1 milllion dollars? I'm pretty sure I didn't get that payout so I'd like to do that one tonight before it expires.
 
You only get a million is you gold it first time, the events are the GT-R and Nascar
 
The GT-R one paid 1 million as did the NASCAR one. The RX-7 Tsukuba may have done so as well (or it was 750k for that)
 
There'd better more seasonal events.

Saves me time grinding away on Indy or something boring like that.
 
I suspect the first set of seasonal events will expire tonight, but we won't see anything new for a couple more weeks.
 
What's the easiest way to get a NASCAR? I want to do the NASCAR race in the Bonus Race #2 event but I shudder at the thought of actually buying a fat piggy NASCAR that I have no real use for.

I realize I could buy one for $500k and win the race, thus still being ahead $500k. But I'd prefer to do it another way if possible.

I think periodic updates to the seasonal events would be a great way to keep the game fresh and interesting, always love a new challenge...

I doubt we'll see this, most of the seasonal events include cheap cars from the Dealership/Online Dealership or cars that most people will have in order to win events such as the NASCARs etc.
 
^^i'll break down and do it, just to say I've done it as part of completing the game.:grumpy:

While I have a general disdain for NASCAR IRL, in the game I mostly hate them b/c I find them very difficult to control with the DS3. My steering wheel broke and I don't have room in my budget to get a new wheel for 2-3 months.👎
