Drifting: Weight reduction?

Hey guys, I'm an "OK" drifter- I'm finishing in the top 2000 or so on the seasonal events. I'm using the Special '62, but I assume this question would apply the same for all cars- should I buy the weight reductions? I bought all of the other upgrades in the tune shop except the Chassis Rigidity thing, and I'm looking to add a few hundred more Drift points here and there.

Yes/No/ or is it just personal preference?

It's preference, and you don't need 1,000HP to drift either.

One can go out and break records with near stock cars. It's all about your ability as a drifter to make the points, not the car mods.

Points system sucks anyways.
