Hi Jordan, got an email from gtplanet telling me that the status of one of the ideas I follow had been updated to "completed" (by you). It was "Dynamic Weather and day/night cycles"

I was a bit amazed by this because all this stuff on the ideas for GT5P and GT5 was a long time ago and I never thought about what had become of it ever since. Apparently, you are keeping it updated and now changing the status of what has been accomplished/included in GT5. Nice! 👍

Do you consider doing something similar regarding GT6, or even for future patches in GT5? I'm all for it, and apparently PD/Sony are now asking us what we want, so why not start over a new "Ideas" survey (or use the many good ideas for features that didn't make it into the game, or were poorly implemented (like online qualifying, as a simple example).

If you do a new one, I'm ready to cast a few votes again. Hoping that someone at PD takes notice of this!

Yes, I created a GT5 Feedback Forum a few days ago when I began to clear up some of those older ideas. I'll be posting it on the blog and integrating it into the site header sometime soon.

Great! The "ideas" to vote was a nice way to understand what people really wanted, without the usual problems about any complaint or feature-request being immediately bashed as "whining". If PD (or Sony) is making a survey, that means they want/need to know what we are thinking, and this could be a good add-on gtplanet (you) give them.

Must tell you though that I'm afraid a GT5 feedback forum can easily turn itself into a battlefield between those that think GT5 can't be criticized, and those that think any defense of the game by others is the result of fanboyism.

Sorry about if my use of the word "forum" was confusing - that's what the service which powers the ideas.gtplanet.net site calls the separate voting areas...err...forums. It will all work exactly the same, only this one will be focused on offering and voting on GT5 feedback.
