I'd love to ask the same question as DriifterzZ, as literally a few minutes ago, my Logitech Driving Force EX which Ive been using for the best part of two years and is an amazing wheel, has just been rendered useless by the fact that the brake pedal snapped! Completly random, and almost unfixable - although I will try.
Now, it's vital that its under £100, just like DriifterzZ requested, as again I'm on a tight budget, and I was able to pick up the DFEX very cheaply on Amazon - sadly they're completly gone from Amazon now, which is a shame, as I'd have simply got a new one to replace this one and be done with it. It's not vital that it has a clutch, in fact I've grown used to not using one. Flappy paddle gears are prefereable, but I dont mind using a stick-shift.
What is vital is that:
a) I don't have to build a full rig to accomodate it. I dont have the space, time or money to be building a full rig, and I've gotten by for years just using the DFEX in my lap with the attachment it has, or strapped to my desk for playing on the PC with it.
b) That leads onto my second point - that it's PC and at least PS2 compatible. I don't have a PS3 yet, so it doesn't particularly have to be PS3 compatible as well, although it is preferable - the bare minimum is that it works for both PC and PS2.
c) Good force feedback is vital.
d) That it's relatively cheap. I know its not always possible to have all of the above AND expect it to cost a pittance, but I managed to find my DFEX for around £30 when I got it on Amazon - it might have been pre-owned, but it was boxed and I loved it all the same. Nothing more than £100 - I know it's a tight budget to have, but that's the way it is for me atm.
Any info would be massively appreciated - I've grown so used to using a wheel, I'm gonna try and get it replaced or fixed as soon as possible. Thanks in advance
