Any help with the tune on this car for the Rome Time Trial would be greatly appreciated. Right now I'm running:

Max downforce
Transmission: 149 mph
LSD: 7/15/9
Ride Height: -40/-40
Springs: 14.5/16.0
Dampers(Ext): 5/7
Dampers(Com) 5/6
Anti-Roll Bars: 3/4

Camber: 2.5/1.5
Toe 0.07/-0.13

Brakes: 4/6

Currently at 63rd with a 1:16.888. the leader is at 1:14.605. Right now its hard to see anything below 1:16 being possilble. Thanks in advance.

I had 1:16.6xx yesterday (51st atm) with a completely different setup, I've changed the settings since but I remember max downforce was a bit undriveable for me, transmission was similar at 140mph/230kph, will try ur setup in a moment to see the differences...

Time: 1:16.578 (49th)

Downforce: 15/35
Gear Ratio: 240 kph
LSD: 8/20/10
Ride Height: -40/-40,
Springs: 14.0/15.0
Dampers (Ext): 6/7
Dampers (Com): 6/8
Anti-Roll: 3/4
Camber: 0.7/0.7
Toe: 0.00/0.20
Brakes: 3/7

Im sticking with the Peugeot Rally car because I can easily see a 1.14:400 in this car. I haven't found a Renault Clio car yet but if I do and manage to beat my 1.14:942 then I shall post my tune on here.

What setup are you using for the Peugeot? If you don't mind sharing.

Don´t understand how people can use the Peugeot Rally Car.
The one i bought had 304 HP, so above the limit for this time trial.
Is there any way to make it a 300 HP car?

you get the car stock, don't upgrade it, and then drive it till the hp from needing a minor oil change drops the hp to 299. Also, IVORBIGUN, I too would be highly interested to see wha you are running if you dont mind. I have been driving the car ompletely stock because my tuning capabilities actually rendered the car undriveable :dunce:

Yes there is and unfortunately its starting to spoil the time trials for me because it can be very time consuming. What you need to do is get your B Spec driver to take the rally car around until the BHP drops off. Sometimes depending on the car it can take 22laps around Indy just to drop off 1bhp hence why I say its time consuming.

A good example of this is the Cape Ring time trial. I managed to get my B Spec driver to lose so much bhp that it allowed me to put on engine stage 2 upgrade. Now because of this my speed approaching the 1st bend was nearly 4mph quicker. This is the secret to GT5, its quicker to have dirty oil, worn out engine and extra parts than using an oil change. This is why I need another Peugeot Rally car and unfortunately after 3 days of looking I still can't find one and will have to settle with my 1.14:606.

As for the tune of the Rally car and to be honest I keep changing it. Generally I have ride height at 10 on the front and -30 on the rear. The final drive is set at 168 mph.

Worth also mentioning that if you buy a brand new car from the dealership and get your B Spec driver to drive it the bhp will initally increase before starting to drop away.

I would assume that you are using the Peugeot 206 Rally Car 1999 ? I am seeing the HP can't be over 295 so why is 299 being kicked around? is the rally car the only car that will compete? Is there a way to increse weight?

I don't know about the other cars because I haven't used them. When the time trial first came out I was the only one in the top 10 who used the Peugeot as everyone else used the clio trophy car.

Im not sure what you mean about 299 because everyone is using 295hp as you wouldn't be allowed to enter otherwise.

currently about 1200th with a 1.18.8.

need to try another car if i can find one.

Good luck with that because i've spent 4 days trying to find another Peugeot Rally car 99 in the USD and still no luck. Very annoying not being able to improve my laptime but I suppose im to blame for messing up the build of my car.

Sorry for being dense but
"Downforce: 15/35"
I fitted what I could but it does not allow for tuning at the front.. am I missing something?
thanks! :)

you probably have the wrong Clio ?? I just got the rally car from the OCD to try but it need thrashing by Bob to bring the Bhp down a tad.

same here...I've tuned My clio to the max but can only manage 1.19

I have a 206 1999 rally car...but didn't know this B spec driver trick warring down the engine of the car. My 206 is 30h hp now since I've changed the oil...
I don't know if I should pat myself on the back for being a good car owner...or call myself stupid because now I can't cheat like every one else....Oh well

I also have one question......where and how can you make you B-spec driver run 22 laps on Daytona??

I use the Dream car championship and get my B Spec driver to drive around Indy for 22 laps.

P.S lowering your HP isn't a cheat by the way. If you decrease your BHP which allows extra parts then you are increasing the torque. I managed to increase my overall speed on the Cape ring time trial by 5mph by doing this.

I downloaded the ghost for the fastest lap andnoticed that he was going away from me on the sraights... now I guess I know how. wow. Thanks for the tip.

Nice, I've got 1.16:4 with this one so far (rank <200) :dopey:

Anybody mind posting a tune for the Peugeot Rally Car? I'm going to need all the help I can get. I somehow posted a 1:16.88 with the Clio, can't break 1:17 anymore. With the peugeot I can't break 1:18 and it's still up at 299 bhp.

I can't remember my exact tune but I do remember a few things.

My front ride height is +20 and my rear -45. My final drive is set at 174mph. Also my torque is 55 on the rear. Change gear at 5500rpm.

The splits you want to aim for are, 1st split 25:900, 2nd split 48:900 and if you nail the last bend this should give you a laptime in the mid 1.14. I have a 1.14:506 but I haven't had much time to hotlap on this.

As for your car being 299bhp i've now managed to get mine to drop to 285!

I managed a 1.16.8ish and was 230th now 260thish, was nice to see my name on the leader board for a short while though :-)

I know what you mean. I got to the Rome Time Trial early and saw my name at number 5. I should've took a picture.

Is the clio faster in a straight line but worse on the handling? And is it the 2.0 16v 02 everyone is using? I am referring to those that didnt use the peugot 206. I'm thinking I might be faster in the worse cornering car because I would hae more straightaway speed... and if I cant take advantage of better cornering then who cares.

Using a controller... can't break 1:17 :(

why???....why?? :(

Theres nothing wrong with the Clio. Guys were getting 1:15 with it early on. The Peugeot is easily faster though. Download the replays and you'll notice the top speed of the Peugeot is higher. And they were using the Clio Race Car. Not the one from the Dealership.

I noticed the fastest clio was about 50th, was a clio cup race car. Must be from the UCD
