Nemesis Vs D-Trick
Drift Battle

This event will be held on Tsukuba Circuit at 10 A.M. PST(please check your local time) on Sunday February 13th.​


Regulations:
- RWD Cars
- Unlimited HP
- Comfort Hard Tires

Rules:
- Only 2 cars at a time, one from each team.
- Lead car always has the right of way!
- There will be 2 session for each pair. (So one team leads first session, then the other team leads the next)
- Only one car per driver.
- Cars will be inspected by the judges and other drivers to make sure they meet the regulations.
- Chase car cannot pass the leading car unless the lead car is fully off the track.
- If the chase car hits the leading car and the leading car's drift line is altered (gets pushed higher up on the track then intended or goes off the track) because of this hit, the chase car automatically loses.
- If the leading car goes completely off the track, (all 4 tires are NOT on the track) the leading car automatically loses.
- After both cars make it to the finish line, it is up to the judges to decide who preformed better.
- Only judges can use mics during the race. Judges will talk to each other and commentate the battle going around the track so the other drivers know what is going on. Ex. (1) has taken the lead while (2) spins out into the grass, but then (2) smashes into the wall too hard and (1) is able to catch up. Something along those lines. Judging should be fairly fun for this event.

The start line is where the actual start line is. The finish line is at the end of the last 2nd turn that is right before the long straight.

AS long as you guys have and Fr you can use any car just once you login in with a car you have to use that car...

Everyone gets a shot at every driver each win will count as a 1 point for your team, the team with the most points wins, if there is a tie for some reason each team will pick one driver for a final battle. Drivers from each team with the most points will then compete for a driver battle for honors for the best driver of the battle so there will be two winners. A team winner and a driver winner.

Dawn, have you made a mistake, or is there an agreement i dont know about? Knight Spirit is an ACN Manager, not a D-Trick member...

I think we should give twinturboch a shout he realy know what hes doing plus hes not on any team so would be a third party judge..?

I'd love to help out and judge this, but I'm going to be at Santa Pod all day on the 13th running a Drift Academy day and by my reckoning 10am PST is 6pm GMT, and I won't be home until circa 9pm that night (finish at Pod at 5pm, pack up, then three hour drive home) :( If you decide to hold it later, give me a shout and I'll do it, but otherwise I can't :( Sorry.
 
I've just noticed Jimmy281090's choice of Suzuki GSX R/4.

During the extensive testing that SAi and I (and FRAG-ME-CG and I the week before) did the other day into power/drivetrain differences, we found that power made no difference to speed when drifting, but mid-engined cars have a huge advantage in speed, making the battles very one sided.

In short, we established power restrictions are pointless, but realistically, MR cars should not be allowed.
 
Well it drifts pretty epically bu if some are unhappy i'll not complain about choosing another car :) if so i'll jump into my 370z (Z34)

Based on this info then Jimmy... You might as well jump in your 370z just to keep everything even as my team members are all using FR cars...
 
Interesting on the MR thing, well let me know what the calls is guys.... And we need to find a judge asap! No problem TwinTurboCH I understand people have live outside of this game...
 
We have a member HMSMotorsport who told us he can judge.. you guys bring along a second judge and they can call it together?

Maybe we can get one of the <ACN> members to be a judge... :) I know they have been judging lately with the H2H tourney...

If they are unavailable then - we can go to plan B...
 
I'd recommend getting HMSMotorsport to be one of the judges :) He's a real life drifter who has experience from D1NZ (he now resides in the UK), so he knows what he's talking about :)

I have been thinking of a way that this battle could be organised, as the ACN vs NEMESIS battle wasn't as clear to the participants as it could have been.

Whichever team wins the most of their battles will win the tournament.

The drivers from each team who have won the most of their battles will battle eachother in a 'Driver of the battle', so that atleast there is a 'final' of some sort which can go on the forums.

I personal like just a bracket like they are using in H2H event, its not only about the best team but the best driver. It will be a Nemesis driver vs one D trick driver to start, and if we end up with a Nemesis final so be it if we end up with D trick Final so be it we will just have to see who ready to drive hopefully the finals will be one Nemesis driver and one D Trick driver. I will post the results with the eights drivers names and where they ended up. This is how we will see who the better team and driver is.

As far as the Judges I like the idea of ACN judging, does anyone object?

There will be 12 opens spots in the room. 8 Drivers, I will be host and will run the event, dgambino will be in there since he is the team owner. Your managers are driving so this is why Dgambino will be in there since none of our drivers are managers. Then the last two spots go to the judges. Does anyone object to this?

Im not afraid of any MR car, but in the best interest of my team mates, ill battle an FR car if necessary. Although, ill try and set up a run in private with Jimmy after the battle, to see if it really is that much of a difference in a battle.
 
I'm not even competing so I don't really deserve to say any of this nonsense but
I think it's important that the judge is unbiased and impartial when it comes to well.. pretty much everything
I know nothing's been decided yet for sure but I think it'll be the best if the TwinTurboCH were the judge.
I saw that TwinTurboCH recommended HMSMotorsport but he is part of the team that's competing in this competition. I'm not presupposing that he'll be biased toward his team mates right from the start. I'm saying that even if he is not at all biased(which I'm sure he is not biased) there is a possibility that there may be disputes after the battle regarding the results. I'm confident that this sort of dispute is highly NOT likely as all of the participants aren't toddler-minded "n00bs" but i think it'll be better to eliminate the possibility altogether right from the start.
The reason I'm saying this is because I've seen quite a lot of these happen not only in FPS games but also Racing games where it's not likely; what started out to be a friendly match by the end turns into a nasty brawl..

I'd be happy for Godfrey to judge but as i originally suggested if he cant make it.. a NEMESIS judge and D-Trick judge together
