TDU2 Corrupt file thread (patch 1 released today and fixes this problem!!)

Jeez one thing after another with this game.

I just cant believe it. 60 hours of gameplay and now my gamesave is corrupt too. 👎👎:ouch::indiff:

I loved and supported TDU and have supported Atari but I cant see myself supporting Eden or Atari any longer. I think at this point I am just going to trade the game in. Truly kills me inside to do this especially as much as I loved TDU1 and have been enjoying TDU2. :ouch:

So unless some magical patch comes out overnight, it looks like I am trading this game in tomorrow.

Another patch is coming out over the weekend. Just be patient, back up your game every so often. 4gig thumb drive is only like 12$ now a days. Theres already been 1 patch with another coming. Atleast it looks like there tring to fix the problems.



P.S. Sorry about the save though, that just blows completely :(
 
There was an announcement over corrupt patches at the TDU2 forum:

Corrupt Save Files? - This is a known issue. There is a chance that this error message may come up erroneously. If this occurs, exit to the system dashboard immediately without clicking "Delete" or "Retry." - we're working on a long term fix. If the workaround does not resolve the problem, unfortunately there are currently no known methods of recovering a corrupted save file.

I decided to just start over. As frustrating as it is to lose 60+ hours, and as frustrating as it is to find friends, and as frustrating as it is to get into the Casino, I still love this game.

So far I made incredible progress with my restart. I am already level 21 and level 5 in the casino. I also have all 40 of the bomb missions finished on this new save. So despite the problems and having to restart, I made it really far in a short amount of time.

I also bought 2 flash drives so I can keep backing this game up each day. One for Heather and one for myself.

Looking forward to that patch because right now this game is a disaster.

I knew this game would have problems but never expected it to be this bad. I already lost 60 hours due to a file corruption. Also lost $100,000 when the server disconnected me from the roulette room. The single player is great but thats pretty much the only thing that is working. Cant find friends, server errors, disconnect errors, Casino only works about 5% of the time, corrupt files, clubs dont work at all, and many other problems. I would wait about a month for some patches if you are even considering getting TDU2. Right now its a disaster. And this is coming from someone that loved TDU1.

I am almost back to where I was before my file got corrupt and I back it up every day. Still most of this game is getting disappointing.

I know Thousands of people have got corrupted data (me being one of them),but i realised that a lot of people got this error after trying to win the R8 in the casino...Would this have anything to do with it??? As i sat in the casino for about 3 hours (i won a couple hundred thousand :) ... Then when i turned it back on i had the corrupt data too

So to sum it all up-was anyone in the casino (for a long time) just before they lost their savegame...THANKS, please,please,please reply :)
 
No trying to win the R8 really has nothing to do with it. There are many issues that create this save game corruption. Mine happened after fast traveling from one location of the map to another. Then my 360 froze. I reloaded and save corrupt.

I havent played the game in almost 3 weeks because I was waiting for this patch. 30 days later it finally arrives.

A patch was released today that fixes the corrupt save file issue for almost everyone. So far all the feedback has been positive for this file corruption patch.

Just a reminder there are 2 patches coming out.

Patch 1. Friday 3/11/11. Fix corrupt file saves (thats the only focus and so far it has been working for many members!!)

Patch 2. Monday 3/14/11. Resolve all other issues
 
About effin' time I'd say. Better late than never, didn't play the game for over two weeks now...
 
I havent played the game in almost exactly 3 weeks. So believe me, I am more than ready to play tonight! :)

Really looking forward to monday because thats the true patch thats supposed to fix everything in the game.

It seems that the PS3 patch will be rolled all into one package.My guess is that it will be here on Monday,which i really hope is so as i haven't played this game for nearly 3 weeks now.
 
Well I waited and waited but after my save got corrupted I traded the piece of crap in.I put in over 60hrs and had 100% roads and alot of the other stuff. I had A3,A2 and A1 left to do and corrupted file. I figured I do everything to get tuner level 4 before i did the last races and this happens. So i traded it in for Dragon Age 2...... and I am now stuck at the very first big mission. After 22hrs of playing this happens. This is begining to be the norm and now I see why people pirate games.
 
You should have waited because the patch friday fixed ALL the save file corruptions.

I played TDU2 all weekend long. Won the R8 Casino car yesterday along with well over $150,000 between Poker and the slot machines. I won a LOT in poker yesterday. Great day for sure.

Patch #2 is supposed to be released today that fixes all the issues with the game. Anyone try it yet to see if they can find friends or the other issues?? If everything is working then I will be in the poker tournaments all night for sure.
