I was able to play online with no problems until last update, now I can't stay even 1 minute in any online room... So I'd like to ask how many others have this problem too.

I'm a software developer and I tried everything people said about this problem: enabling UPnP, enabling port forwarding, disabling Media Server Connection, putting the PS3 in DMZ. I've sent a message to Sony asking them to rewrite the networking code because it's really badly written right now.

So, what about you?
 
Connection is fine in off-hours, but you can definitely see PDs servers struggling in rush hour: bad connections, serving stale information (e.g. lounges that no longer exist), bad voice chat, etc. Not to mention the disappearing opponents (which are actually there, so you don't see them but you CAN crash into them) and other issues.

Must say I never have been thrown out of a game, only refusing to connect (because of above mentioned reasons, like stale lounge information) sometimes. Since all the people I play with put their PS3 in DMZ, we don't have connection issues anymore, only the server issues. 👍
 
A lot of times my connection is dropped, I can't join a lounge after disconnecting the same one, I don't see a few other drivers. It became worse after 1.06.
Some times I see in the lounge eg. 2 drivers loading but they are already racing.
Very very annoying. I have PnP enabled, but I can't create a DMZ with my providers hardware. Hope they fix this problem. *#&$Y#@*$
 
i have a 20/120 connection never had a problem and since that update start of a race screen during minutes longer disconnects trown out of my own rooms freezing impossible to race online like this
 
I've had no problems plaing online either until the last update, I got DCD several times from my own lounge the other night while hosting a race event I run weekly, it was very frustrating & interfered with others racing. Seeing as online racing is my main thing, if it's not sorted rather soon I'll probably have to stop playing GT altogether.
 
I've found something odd happening. I think it has happened only since the last update but can't be sure: I will be in a race of multiple people, but the only car I can see is the host's. Everyone else can see me on track (usually smashing them out the way like bowling pins, apparently), but as far as my PS3 is concerned, it's just a two car race. It's the same during practice. Fun!
 
Same for me, many problems after 06, a thing expecially: i joined a room, but the race was already started..so i waited there, just two laps
The race finish...black screen, disconnected. Other room, same thing. I've experienced this thing 4 times.
...Anyway, the last 1-2 days it's ok.
 
I used to have the disconnect problem, it seems to have gone away recently thankfully. It used to be quite bad, glad it's better now.
 
I've had no problems since going from wireless PS3 to ethernet cable PS3.

Before that it was crap. Constant disconnections, either joining, or 1 minute into a race.
 
I don't even bother with online play. Its not everyone's cup of tea which is why they need to balance a-spec and online. Everyone doesn't have access to internet or have slow connections anyways. Why would they limit the game for these people is a poor development plan if you ask me. We are on v1.07 and there are some people that are stuck with v1.00.
 
I had bad problems until I used a lan connection. Now its so much better. Lots of bugs like my rear view mirror disapearing and loss of power for no aparent reason. And many people loose connection and think I booted them out the room, I would never do that.

If you have not already tried a lan then I suggest this be a good thing to try.

So sorry for you as I too was pulling my hair out. So many bugs in this game and I love racing. Hope they fix things soon,
