Welcome to the first Special Round of the Super GT Championship. Our first venture takes place in Germany at the famous Nurburgring Grand Prix Layout. Its fast but twisty sections will keep drivers on their toes.

General Information and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by SuperGT sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me RACECAR) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manner.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

  • Standard Online Racing Rules Apply.
  • No Cheating, etc.
  • Try keeping at least 2 wheels on course. Long races = small mishaps, but absolutely NO shortcuts
  • While close racing is accepted, it will also be monitered so mind yourselfs on track. Penalties will be enforced for any behavior considered avoidable contact or rough driving.
  • All decisions by GTMSA officials are final

Special Round Amendments

*Because this is not a points paying event, no Success ballist will be in effect. Cars will run essentially in their stock form.

*Penalties will not be on for this race

*Winners in each class will be granted automatic invites to the Polka 1000 KM later this year.

Any chance you can host this race RACECAR? I'll be able to host practice on Saturday, but I have a club meeting scheduled for Sunday and I will not be home at the time the race takes place. :(

I always host the race room so sure I will.

I will be there with the Subaru.. and some Bluetooth thingy. :D --- Randy

My Lounge is open for SuperGT Practice. :D

Don't mind me if I'm not on the track too much since I'll not be competing in tomorrow's race. If I am on track, it'll be in a car other than the one I'm usually competing in. :)

Be warned, this track is VERY cold. Your tires will take a while to warm up (3-4 laps) and they will NOT warm up completely. The cold also means there's a LOT less grip and your tires will ware out quite a bit faster than normal. I could barely make it 12 laps before having to pit. This track will definitely change the strategy for everyone. It'd ALMOST behove you to go with Medium or hard tires. But they'd take longer to warm up than the soft tires. but they'd had the endurance on them.

I'm actually grateful there aren't rubber marbles in the game 'cause After 24 laps, there'd be a lot of it.

Don't give Kaz and PD any ideas...

:dopey:

Oh boy, where do you sign up for this race?

First, you'll want to post an entry in the signup thread here. Then you can post here if you intend on competing.

Thanks guys ;) signed up, and I'd like to compete from this round and onwards 👍

One thing I noticed in practice was that the cooler temps seemed to have evened things up a bit. Racecar is usually 4-5 seconds faster than me. In practice he was only 2-3 seconds faster.

Ok everyone, first post has now been updated with the prize car. Also beginning at the 3rd round in Fuji, ROTY points will be put up (Never got around to assembling it, but now actually have the time too). The winner of this in each class at the end of the season will also be invited to the Polka 1000 KM at Suzuka Later this year.

So invites to the event from this series will go to:

*Champions from the present season as well as the previous season(Eligibility lasts for 4 seasons)

*Winners of the Special Rounds

*Rookie of the Year winners

Anyone that ends up actually meeting more then one of these requirements will be asked to choose which qualification to race under. For instance, if one is both a champion in thier class as well as Rookie of the Year, they will be asked which qualification do they wish to race under, that way the next person in line will receive eligibility in that respective requirement. If their is a driver that ends up winning more then one Special round, they will be required to choose which race to receive eligibility from, once again allowing the next person in line for eligibility.

Hopefully, this sorts things on what will be going on and answers any question regarding these races.

Edit: I'm right now having trouble signing in PSN, for some reason it just won't sign me in. If I can't log in, one of you will have to host.

Attention: Add GTP_ranhammerR34 and come to the Tavern. :D

I can't sign in so I can't host. Everyone repost to Randy's Lounge, he'll host the room in my absence.

Why can't you sign in? I saw you a couple times, RC. Someone should be sure to save the replay for Racecar.

Jav dominated, I had three good battles for second with Shouden, Boyce and Randy had a big crash at the chicane on lap 1, all in all, it was a fun race.

Unofficial Results:
Jav - GT500 (Takata NSX)
Lancer - GT300 (ARTA Garaiya)
Shouden - GT500 (YellowHat GT-R)
The Boyce - GT300 (Amemiya RX-7)
Ranhammer - GT300 (Cusco Impreza)

Thanks for all the help guys, I'll never figure out what the world happened. Connection was fine yesterday, I have no idea why it acted up today so I appreciate you guys helping with hosting and results 👍

No problem. :D Sorry Boyce for rear-ending you bud!:grumpy::yuck::dunce: Brakes will be worked on for the next round at Fuji. --- Randy

After my ony pitstop my car was pretty quick and I was able to bridge catch up to Lancer enough to battle him for 2nd and ended up passing him with a little bit of rubbin' around Michelin Kurve and Bilt Kurve. The rubbin' wasn't on purpose just hard to pass there. But I went off into the sand coming out of Valvoline Kurve. which cost me the position. Almost had caught back up but went off the track twice. Good races, though.

It was a good race for me, I was able to stablish a good solid rythm from the start and had a uneventfull mistake free race. Shame Captain Falcon wasn't there, though he would've taken the race easily I may have given him a quick battle on the oppening laps.
Hope to see a bigger grid for the next round! Had a great time on this one, Ranhammer had me laughing the whole race! He's a funny guy!
See you on track guys!

Bit sad I couldn't join this race, because of incompatible with the host :(. Hopefully I'll be able to join the next round.

Cheers
