My dad listens to them and that is the very pinnacle of uncool.
 
Meh, I'll listen to them from time to time. That's about as far as it goes though.
 
I voted meh. This band's 18 year career is just a minor string of mediocre LP's and a few good singles. They just haven't done much. I do really enjoy Sultans of Swing and Money for Nothing, but other than that, it isn't really much. They certainly aren't bad, but they aren't great.

I will say this though, Mark Knopfler is a pretty talented guitarist in his own right.

'Going Home' is played at St James' Park when players enter the ground and it is absolutely fantastic, the saxophone and thousands of fans cheering, clapping and waving black-white flags.
 
They're probably good and all, but they're so far from my taste in music that I can't really bring myself to vote for anything besides 'meh'.

Definitely agree. 👍

I actually like their sound, but when you try to resume their whole career, you get less than a handful of good stuff.
