The Prestigious (2)4 Heures Du Mans​

Im going to host a 4 hour Le Mans race with the time set so as to allow a full 24hour cycle. The race will be 70 laps long. The car limits will be set so that a top end LMP/Group C car can enter although dont forget that Le Mans has slower cars as well but I doubt people will use them. The race will be held on Saturday 26th March at 12 noon GMT. Post your name if you would like to join. You can use GT CARS as well. Please do. The more the merrier. And funner.

LMP cars elgible: read the description of the car. If it says in the description that it raced at either Le Mans, American Le Mans series, Le Mans series or the World Sportscar Championship then it can race.

GT cars elgible: Super GT cars, cars that have been LM tuned by Gran Turismo e.g. Ford GT LM Spec II test/race car, Mazda RX7 LM race car. You may also enter Le Mans Series car like the Audi R8 LMS car '09. Tune your car to the max because the regulations will not be able to keep this class balanced.

i can race @2 gmt maybe it could be the 2(4) hours? ie 2 instead of 4. let me know... ill take bmw-lmr v-12.pm me and let me know. also u should limit the pp to 720 so that tuning counts. also this will balence the field a bit. also if u are using aids or anything but real grip and heavy damage i will prolly pass

I'll allow aids, light damage and real grip reduction. So if it is 2pm next saturday then you'll be able to race?
 
Does that mean we can use cars like the 787B too?

Very tempted..What sort of assist restrictions are there?

restrictions will stop people using the x2010 and fgt. other than that its plain sailing but when i see how the event is running i may enforce pp at around 750 or 800. Real grip reduction, light damage, tcs on, abs on, asm on, srf and active steering off. you can uuse the 787b as it is a group c car
 
Seeing alot of people from the 4hr Nurb race last night here haha, I'd be up for it but I'm not sure if I can do the time tbh, got a guitar lesson. I'll let you know if I can do it or not closer to the time...

Don't know if I'd go with a GT or LMP either :P
 
I cant really see many people wanting to drive GT cars as this will mean they have no chance of winning
 
Seing as no one ants to drive in GT i'm going to class the CLK LM as LM spec. Tune it up if you want and when I open the room (11am on Saturday) You will be able to see how it fares. Btw I will post the room number here when I open the room

Unfortunately I definitely can't make this, as much as I'd like to! I might drop by after you've started if there's room and watch for a little while, but w/e :). Have a good'un!
 
OK THIS IS IMPORTANT

Tomorrow morning at 11AM I will open the lobby for the testing of the cars. This will be an open lobby. I will post the room number here immediately after opening the room. The race will start at 12 NOON PROMPT after a qualifiying race. This will decide your grid position in the race. This race will be a 1 LAP RACE OF THE CIRCUIT. Your starting position will be decided upon this race so it is crucial you try. The race will be a ROLLING START so what will happen is the following:
-Everyone arranges themselves into exact grid position from your qualifiying race. Your ENDING position in that race will be your start postion in the full race.
-After lining up the winner of the qualifying race will take everyone around the track, safely and sensibly, at roughly 62 MPH / 100 KPH.
-Once you have SAFELY EXITED the final corner i.e. the final right hander on the chicane, you will be allowed to use full throttle and go up to racing speeds for the remainder of the race.

If you get bored of racing yet will come back later you must enter the pitlane, then pause the game so the pit crew hold you in your pitbox.
Tyre/fuel wear will be ON. Light damage. Light penalties/strong depending on peoples practice tomorrow. SRF, active steering and ASM will be banned. However exceptions can be made allowing ASM (if your rubbish) but active steering and SRF will have no exceptions.

I'll try and get through it, thats alot (North American Super GT after that). I may have to pull in for an hour or two and just drive half the laps. I dont know, see how my neck and wrists are doing. Is it okay if I just sort of have a track day rather than a non stop carpol tunnel marathon,?
