Drivetrain layout and aerodynamics (among other things) pretty heavily restrict design choices if you are trying to make a racecar.
That said it does look like they could have started with the Caparo and just added a little "flair"
They are shaped very similar. But current knowledge would dictate current ideas. That's why so many cars are basically the same length, width and outline as each other. They are only varied by headlight/grill combinations. A current style would create similar outcomes.
I've seen many threads like this one. But they all faded into obscurity pretty quik.
They look extremely similar. Not because Red Bull copied the T1 but more so that it is a nearly perfect aerodynamic design. Much like modern supercars, the more important aerodynamics becomes the more similar the cars will be I don't want to accuse PD & RedBull of plagiarism. Caparo vs. Red Bull X1 X1 lookalike???
