THIS CHAMPIONSHIP HAS ENDED

SEASON 2 THREAD SIGN UPS NOW đź‘Ť​

Looking for clean racers of any skill level to race in a championship between 5-10 races per season .... The catch is only one car will be used.

The car chosen for the first season is:
Honda Integra Type R (DC5) RM

Its and RM'd car so all racers can have their own personal racer number and colour ... (idea of partners having the same colours for manufacturers champonship sort of layout) <-- but depends on the turnout.

The limits are:

525 PP
Around 360 BHP

No tyre limits or aid limits so all racers can have their own setups for racing.

Tracks have been chosen and are shown on the championship site: gtchampionship.weebly.com

Races will be held on a Sunday at 7:00pm GMT with qualifying for positions at 6:30pm GMT. (CURRENTLY BST) (PLEASE MAKE SURE OF THE TIMEZONES) Search if you are unsure


So if your interested post your PSN ID, Racer Number and Colour of Car .... The amount of racers that dropped out the last one was stupid so will now leave space for 20 racers incase of dropouts so all points will be spread out evenly.

If you cannot make the upcoming race a simple PM to me or message on PSN to let me know would be good so I can find a replacement asap.​

First 12 are definately in ... next 5 people to show up in the upcoming races will be put into the starting grid ... all other reserves will then only be asked if another racer drops out.


If the reserves list gets quite a lot then i might set up a second division type of thing so you dont miss out! :)

Honestly, I think mine has much better regulations, as well as unlimited sign-up spots to ensure we mave people interested in it. Also, no aids allowed means the better racers, like R1600Turbo, who made it to the GT Academy finals in Silverstone, as well as several other racers who made the top 128 are in it.

You should leave us alone đź‘Ť

Unlike you ... not everyone aims to be the best and noob this game out ...
people want to race in this game how they want and if that means using some of the aids then thats fine AT LEAST THIS ONE LETS THEM... no neeed to go bragging about saying you can drive with no aids woop de doo

And no need to advertise your championship here is there? mines got places so people are guarunteed to race in this not wait for 120 people to get bored and quit

By the way your more than welcome to join đź‘Ť feel free to race with your badboy aids turned off wouldnt call you anymore of a knob than you already are

The point of my series is purely to have fun, and to become better drivers.

The only reason I'm "advertising" my series is because you decided to make a rival series out of nowhere, without regard for anything else that may be going on at the time, and which cars they were using. That is where you screwed up. This wouldn't have started if you had been paying attention, and picked a different car. It's not even rreally advertising, as I'm just bringing the older, original series to your attention.

I'm not "bragging" about not having aids. It's just that the majority of people in this subforum do not like them, especially Skid Recovery Force, which literally makes your car seconds faster without any skill.

And I wouldn't call myself a "knob." I'm just honest, and speak my mind.

I think you are being a little hostile. Nowhere is this series trying to copy yours, other than car choice, which really isn't even copying since people can do whatever they want. What you run is a bit more serious and competitive while what Healy wants to do is more for people to tool around and learn a thing or two.

Im not trying to compete with you mule ... we had a series using the mercedes c63 amg and one racer said we do another series with the integra so thats the only reason .... im not trying to steal your racers, mines at different times so people who cant make yours might make mine

I would like to recommend turning off the following aids: active steering and skid recovery. I feel no need to get a nice simulation game like GT5 forced into the aracde corner :)
 
Mule stop getting pissy just because this championship has the same car. Everyone has a choice what they want to do. Don't like it go complain somewhere else.

What a clown :dunce: You are the one who should leave people alone. I'm sure you are a legend in your own mind, but you don't have a monopoly on any particular car. This series has nothing to do with yours and isn't even similar. Look at how many GT300/500 series there are; I don't see any of those organizers crying and whining about someone stealing there idea.

There's no reason to attack anyone. I think Ihealy and mule can work this out on their own. In fact I think they already did. This series will attract a different crowd of people for sure.
Best of luck with your series mate, I'd just say next time state how your series differs from the existing one. Ie - Fully tuned cars, trying to attract a different type of racer with aids, etc.. The JGTC series all have marked differences and thats why there are so many. One is for novices, others are for different locations etc. Everyone just wants to race just make sure to state how your series differs đź‘Ť

Sure, I might have overreacted just slightly, but I still think I deserve to let you guys know what there was already a series being ran, that didn't appear to have any glaring differences, unlike the different GT500 series.

Need to invite more people ... I wont start this championship until there is a minimum of 14 racers because i know most wont be able to make it ...

Had 10 last time and ended up with 4 so if you know anyone let them know đź‘Ť
 
Just done race mod to the integra and done nurburgring with it like that and feels pretty good to drive ...

shall we leave the RMed car stock or is everyone after more power?
 
Can i be added as a provisional please? Not 100% sure if i can do that time as it's closing on when my Mrs wants the telly to watch boring stuff! :)

Can buy it in the dealerships as its quite cheap ... Im not modifying mine yet until we get a final decision on the BHP and PP Limits đź‘Ť
 
If the time's put back then i deafinatly can't race as she'll be well into TV mode by then and NOTHING gets in the way of her watching TV,god knows i've tried, haha !

Just given my new Type R a run and i'm quite impressed with it; not as nimble as i hoped though. Strange, when i run a RWD car i nearly always get a faster time with no aids switched on except TC on 1 and ABS at usualy 3. With this my fastest lap was with all aids except active steering and it was faster by quite some margin. Tried out all combinations, too.
 
What times best for you then?

and what setting is that? just stock RM or have you put parts on it?
 
Your original suggested times are fine, but a saturday daytime would be great (i'm trying to host a league on saturday afternoons, haha!)

As for the car, it's loaded out and then (slightly) restricted to your exact requirements in post 1.

BTW, just kidding about doing it on a staurday - i'm not here to tell you what to do with your race series! :)
 
This sounds alright, I'll let you know but heres my info for the moment:

xkubunt (PSNID and GTP name are the same) the number will be 18 and colour is TBD.
 
OK, i think i can commit to this . . . . . . however next sunday we are hosting a party which starts at - 7pm ! So should the series begin next week i will have to miss the 1st race but i will then have to play mega catch up for the remaining events. If this isn't acceptable then i'll understand and leave the place open for someone else :)
 
Why is there a reserve list if the main list isn't even close to full?
