Need For Speed Forum?

There should be a dedicated NFS forum on GTPlanet. I mean with all the hype of Need For Speed THE RUN in November and HP3, it deserves its own forum.

There actually used to be if I recall correctly, but it was scrapped because it was rarely used and cluttered the forum.

What about changing the Shift forum to an NFS forum, but add tags for different games. e.g. Shift, Hot Pursuit, The Run and Other or Classic.

There are a quite a good number of Hot Pursuit players here.... except they're all like closet ones and the thread in Console&PC is buried in 2 days.

The Shift forum is far too active to be shoehorned into a tag, and I think the Shift series will continue to support a dedicated forum for some time to come. I'll consider adding a forum for the rest of the NFS franchise closer to The Run's release, but I don't see enough discussion on it at the moment.

If enough people here like NFS enough to talk about it, then that sounds possible.

Who knows how many "Run" Players we'll have. Unless there's a fantastic online or replay-value, I really doubt it'll be a bus-load of people.

HP3's as small as ever, and no one really plays the PS1 and PS2 titles now. I don't know about Carbon and World.

As I said in my previous post, I'll consider adding a dedicated NFS forum closer to The Run's release if there appears to be sufficient interest to support it. There is simply not discussion about the series' other games to justify one right now.
