A SS FWD series sounded good til I noticed; no penalties & all aids on !?!?

I'd rather race with no penalties, as the system is majorly screwed.

But all aids on?

Yes. Penalties are off so that ghosting doesn't occur.

All assists are allowed, because some people just like to use them. You're not forced to use them at all, but you are welcome to do so.

I might be into this too. If you get rid of Driving Aids, you'll encourage better driving skills.

I didn't realize so many people prefer no assists. What if all assists were off except for driving line, ABS, and Traction Control? Would that appeal to you guys? Trying to make this work.

I'd be interested then, but no penalties worries me. Just finished a series without it as well & had to deal with a ton of rear-endings. I'd rather the ghosting.

I've learned in the past that penalties can be good....but they can also be REALLY bad. For example, you get rear ended and pushed off track....YOU get the shortcut penalty! I hate that. I would be willing to compromise on the assists a bit, but I think I'm going to leave the penalties as is. Some people like it, some don't. Can't please everyone. :-)

Should there be sanctions for those deliberately disconnecting to gather points?

Well, if you'll notice, you get 3 points if you get disconnected. This is the same amount as if you finish last in the race. So basically, there is no advantage to intentionally disconnect from a race. Good thought though. Thank you.

I race with eciracing in the Exotics series. We always have a good time during those races. Having no penalties on is a good idea. I have raced in a series that did not have penalties and it made everyone more careful around each other due to no ghosting. I think driving aids should be allowed because this isn't a hardcore sim league. Like eci said, if anyone prefers to not use driving aids that is there choice, I won't be using them. Once people start using these ff cars they will realize that aids aren't needed and maybe eventually a majority of the racers won't be using them. Should be a good series!

Thanks, Wagg. I agree. Glad to have you aboard.

Great! Glad to have you aboard. Send me a friend request to make it easier to find the room.
First race is thus Thursday! Gonna be fun!

I have accepted any friend requests I have received so far. There was one that it wouldn't let me accept, because it had been cancelled. If that person is you, send it again.
We are starting tomorrow at 8:30EST.

Just want to thank all of you that came out and raced tonight. Had the battle of my life with the DC5 Integra's. Great racing to all of you.

For those of you that are participating in this series, Race #2 has been postponed until next Thursday (08/18/11). The PSN maintenance is causing connection issues with several users in the series.

Wonderful! Race #2 takes place tonight. The room will be open at 8:30EST and the race will begin at 9:30EST. Add me on PSN to fnd the room easier. My PSN is eciracing

The last race at SSR5 was fun. It appears that I need to step up my game in order to compete because there are some fast drivers in this series. Grand Valley will be a fun track.
