Scoring
To win the Championship you must participate a min of 3 of the 4 weeks.
Your Top 9 scores apply. The DTM scoring formula. The points for the top-eight positions are awarded according to the following FIA GT1 System outlined below. There are neither void results nor extra points for pole positions or fastest race laps. The winner is the driver with the highest point total for all races.

Scoring system
W use the DTM scoring formula. The points for the top-eight positions are awarded according to the following system: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1. There are neither void results nor extra points for pole positions or fastest race laps. There are multipliers for night, wet or night & wet races. The winnner is the driver with the highest point total for all three races.

1st = 10 pts
2nd = 8
3rd = 6
4th = 5
5th = 4
6th = 3
7th = 2
8th = 1
Note: Pts for Night or Wet races count 1.25x.
Pts for Night and Wet races count 1.5x.

The Rules
1. THE TOP PRIORITY IS CLEAN DRIVING

a. Don't be in such a hurry. Most incidents happen at the beginning of a race. With drivers in a hurry to get to the front of the pack. Its a mini endurance. You'll have a chance to catch up.

b. First keep in mind you're on COLD tires; they don't handle well until they warm up. Take your time.

c. Second, the guy who jumps out ahead is not normally the guy who wins. After the turn the cars behind usually "draft" ahead of the leader. It's not necessary to have the early lead. This is a mini-endurance you've got time.

d. Use caution when passing in tight areas. If you cause an incident you may not faulter but you will get a 30 sec penalty for each incident caused.

e. If you're being passed hold your line and let the faster car go around you. You may not need to WIN the race to win the series or championship. These are mini-endurance races in which strategy plays a role. The #1 rule is to avoid knocking your opponent off the road. Again a 30 second time penalty is applied for each incident you cause.

2. When returning to the track look to make sure you are not pulling out infront of another car. Set your arrow buttons to give you both left and right view.

3. Rule #3 - Refer to rule #1 & 2.

4. Don't cut the chicanes or the corners. Always have either both right or both left tires on the track at all times when going around corners or chicanes. Cutting could add 2 seconds to your time for each infraction. Depends on the severity and number of infractions during the race.

5. Passing
The Car Infront
a. Has the right to the line.
b. Maintain your line do not maneuver to cut-off the passing car.
c. Once passed you can maneuver to catch the draft of the car that passed.

The Car behind
a. Is responsible for a clean pass.
b. Do not bump as you pass or bump draft.
c. You can draft, just don't make contact.
d. Use care if passing on a corner; most incidents happen here.

6. REMEMBER - Clean Driving - High Speed battles are fun only if we're not bumping into one another.

Race Incidents
1. Please, the objective is a clean, competitive, fun, challenging race. Use care, use caution not to hit the cars around you.
2. If you feel you're the victim of a race incident:
a. First save the replay that's located under the podium icon.
b. View the replay to get better perspective on what happened.
c. Send me a PM concerning the incident, specifying which lap the infraction occured on.

Practice Procedures
a. One hour to thirty minutes prior to start time track three will be available for practice laps.
b. From thirty minutes prior to start time track #2 will be available for practice laps.
c. When start time is reached a 15 minute qualification period commences on track #1.
d. The Event will start 15 minutes after the hour.

Mondays at 6 PM eastern time? Hopefully that will work for me, but I don't see a problem with it, so I'm in for this one as well. I'll let you know though if anything does come up, I'm looking forward to this one. I'm not really a fan of racing softs, it kind of takes away from the enjoyment and challenge of driving a race car, at least in my opinion, but its your race. Any reason why one of the races is on La Sarthe 2005 instead of the newer 2009 version? Just curious.

Racing Softs until we get a handle on how this will go. Its very highspeed and we have guys who haven't raced 'em before. Further down the road as everyone gets acclimated, trust me, we're gonna be very tire appropriate.

The '05 version prevents a lot of Chicane cutting; especially the section just before the finish line. In the '09 version, people can blow right by that chicane & the one just before the Dunlop bridge even with penalties on.

Then tell them not to. If they do, penalize. 👍

Agreed, it's not like it's an open lobby with random people, mostly everyone participating is an IHPRL member so they can race well and they know the rules, but it's Fish's league so really it's up to him.

I can watch 90 min of video for every car to determine if someone ran afoul of the rules.

And there are usually new people at every event like last Mon. We had several newbies. But it's not weather you're new or old to the league, certain tracks allow certain things weather intentional or accidental. So "like other leagues" we've chosen a track that limits that. Basically same track with sand.

"Fish's League." You know, I hate that term. It's a league like any other with events to participate in for fun, like any league. With rules of how the event(s) will run like any league. Hopefully we have people taking "Ownership" in the league and making it better and more enjoyable for everyone.

Ok not Fish's League:p

I'm testing out both cars right now to see which one I prefer. I'll let you know which one I choose.

Just some thoughts....(I'm not interested in joining mostly due to the time)

Based on the 700hp/1200kg limits:
Ford GT LM Test Car, Nissan R390 and Merc CLK-LM will likely dominate.
Audi R8 LMS 100kg over the limit will suffer.
Nomad Diablo is just a slow car for some reason.

I'd suggest taking the time to even the cars out better with their own specs to make things even otherwise whoever chooses the very high downforce cars that need weight added to make the limit will destroy everything else.

They've all been tested. Specs DO even the playing field. Look at the tracks. Different cars perform differently on differrent tracks. Higher DF cars will do better on tracks with a lot of tight turns. They will perform worse on tracks with a lot of high speed straights.

And lets not start a "debate" in this thread. This is a Racing Series Sign Up thread. If you're interested in participating please post. If not the debate the issues in another thread. Thanks. I heavily test all the cars in every series I run to ensure driver skill is the determining factor. Locked away in a vault inside the group are a lot of thread with results of these tests.

I'm going to be using the Ford GT LM Test Car, managed 1:10xxx on Deep Forest and 1:56xxx on Nurburgring GP. The car has 655 horsepower, and an equal number of PP(odd) and it weighs 1200 KG. I only used Racing Hards during testing though, so I imagine the car will be even better on Racing Softs.. If anyone is ever up for a practice and testing lounge let me know. Let's get more people into this, I have a feeling it'll be fun! :)

Oreca Viper.
Our command changed our leave policy (able to submit 90 days out). So I will be making up for missed races!

You got it HD!
