No reason at all, do what you like with them.

Notes:
- Front/rear; for LSD: Initial/Accel/Decel.
- No listing means no changes possible or no race mod added.
- Super Soft tires in all cases except noted.
- Cars are set up for road-racing, not rallying, unless noted.
- Work the gears out for yourself, every track is different.
- I'm no expert, but they are all entirely my work, and not someone else's.
- No "For Professionals" equipment has been added.
- Don't bother me about GT2 beng 3 years old.
- Feel free to use them.

Car List:
Ford GT90
Tommy Kaira ZZII
Dodge Oreca Viper GTS-R
Shelby Series 1
Vector M12 LM edition
Mitsubishi 3000GT LM edition '99
Nismo GT-R LM (R33)
Vector Weigert W8 Twin Turbo
Ford RS200 Rally Car
Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport '96
Dodge Neon ACR

Order of numbers:
Spring rates, ride height, damper bound, damper rebound, camber, toe, stabilizer, brakes, downforce, LSD settings.

Ford GT90

9.5/10.1, 74/79, 4/5, 4/6, 2.0/1.5, .05/.10, 4/3, -/-, 6/26/26, 0.68/0.92

Not sure why everyone thinks this car is so hard to drive/tune. It rides as solid as a freight train; a little twitchy, nothing crazy. Can lose grip suddenly because it's over 3200lbs and very powerful. Wishing it had a 6th gear.

Tommy Kaira ZZII

10.5/12.0, 90/89, 3/4, 3/3, 1.2/0.8, .05/.15, 5/4, -/-, .75/.99, 4/18/20

A fun little McLaren F1-clone that gets forgotten. A very forgiving MR car when you drive it hard/sloppy.

Oreca Viper GTS-R

8.0/8.5, 80/75, 5/6, 5/7, 1.2/0.6, .05/.15, 4/3, -/-, .76/.99, 2/22/18

Handles quite smoothly when you get the right line for it into a corner. Countersteering doesn't work well in this car. Take a decisive line with it, and the results are remarkable.

Shelby Series 1

10.0/10.5, 90/90, 5/5, 5/6, 1.8/1.3, .05/.10, 5/5, 12/12, -/-, 1/32/16

Has an interesting tendency for precise mid-corner oversteer, allowing you to brake late and still take a nice line.

Vector M12 LM

8.5/9.5, 64/62, 5/6, 6/7, 1.4/0.8, .05/.10, 3/3, -/-, .74/.97, 6/24/26

Smooth MR car, even in the twisty stuff. Hairpins require some delicacy.

I have to find them in my garage(s) first, write it all down, and then post it.

I'll post RZ settings and my crappy FD RX-7 GT-C settings one day. The R34 is very easy to tune; I shouldn't need to post that.

Mitsubishi 3000GT LM '99 (Laguna Seca endurance prize car)

15.0/16.0, 100/96, 4/4, 3/3, 0.5/0.5, -.10/-.10, 6/6, -/-, .52/.60, 11/42/16, 11/42/16

This car understeers everywhere; despite all that power, it's a little overweight. Tuning this car the way I like it took a bit of work, but it's taught me lots about getting four-wheel-drive to break it's rear-end loose.

Nismo GT-R LM (R33)

9.5/10.0, 71/71, 5/4, 5/6, 1.8/0.8, .05/.10, 5/5, 19/17, .46/.78, 6/26/14

How badly do you want a rear-wheel drive Skyline? Hardly worth the 800,000 credits for a car that's no better than a fully-tuned 'Vette. Heavy, sluggish to turn, and spins out every tiem you brake hard. With some tuning, it's a little more managable under turning and braking, but it still feels heavy. It's something different, as Skylines go.

Vector Weigert W8 Twin Turbo

11.0/11.5, 99/97, 5/5, 6/7, 1.8/1.2, .05/.10, 5/5, 20/18, -/-, 10/30/16

Whoa! Lots of power, lots of weight, lots of torque. So is this car difficult to drive? Not really...and a race mod isn't necessary; it's quite sure-footed and fun to drive.

Dodge Viper RT/10

11.5/12.0, 88/88, 5/5, 5/6, 1.7/1.3, .05/.10, 4/4, 20/18, .45/.77, 6/30/16

A handful at first, but getting sideways is part of the game. Just a little tuning makes feel like less of a big car; the extra weight compared to an Orcea/Taisan makes the car a little more sure-footed. The race-mod color may burn a hole in your retina, however.

Ford RS200 Rally Car

14.0/14.5, 106/108, 3/3, 4/5, 2.4/1.4, -.15/-.05, 7/7, 19/15, -/-, 6/36/16, 6/32/16

One could argue that there aren't many mid-engined 4WD cars. True enough, but the body roll in this machine is impossible to fully remove. Lots of it; which is fine for some interesting sideways action, but takes a bit of getting used to. Calming the oversteer by braking gently, lifting the throttle, and turning the car precisely will yield surprising results.

Corvette Grand Sport '96

12.5/13.0, 100/98, 4/5, 4/6, 2.2/2.0, -.05/.05, 4/4, 18/20, .43/.68, 6/24/16

This was a case of getting lucky. I think I tuned this car perfectly, with a couple of guesses. Not the fastest piece of machinery, but one of the best "noisy" exhaust notes in the game. You don't even have to be all that gentle with this car; I can't say the same about the ZR-1, however. Mild understeer, but very precise steering makes up for it. Oversteer has been tamed.

Dodge Neon ACR

10.5/9.7, 106/106, 5/5, 5/5, 1.3/1.0, .05/-.05, 6/6, 20/18, -/-, 1/36/16

Yeah, yeah...you shouldn't need much help with FF cars, but here's a favorite car of mine (used to own a Neon). Easy and almost fun to drive, can beat the best non-racing cars in the game. It's even a fun rally car, too (change ride-height, of course)!

Ford GT40 Race Car '69

11.5/12.0, 91/93, 5/6, 5/7, 1.2/0.8, .05/.10, 3/3, -/-, .70/.93, 4/22/20

The anicent glider...just a great all-around car. It feels like it's flying just above the ground, like a hovercraft. The exhaust note is almost non-existant, but otherwise this beauty doesn't need much tuning. It can spin out of the tight stuff, so I made a few changes. A definite keeper.

Hey, I'm new to this set of forums, I stumbled upon them while looking up info on the rare cars of GT2, and this thread has proven to be very useful, but I have a request : The Tommy Kaira M30 (the old one, 89 or 87 I think). If you can help me out, that'd be fantastic.

EDIT : Yeah, I know this is painfully old, but I dont have a PS2 and still play GT2.

hey pupik,

I have foudn that your settigns for the Neon ACR have made it an amazing runner - thanks.

Do you have some good settings for the Xantia 3.0i v6? I have tried tuning it but it shakes chronically and slides and wallows in corners

ok i see that you are a master of gear ratios so i want to challenge you. ok here it is. tonight im going to work my ass off to make a dodge neon run a fast as hell 400. i will give you the time time and see if you can do better, when its all said and done id like your spec for a comparison, do you accept?

Don't worry about it, some of us have PS2 some of us don't but we still post in this forum because we enjoy playing GT2. The same can be said of GT1 as well.
