Season Info:

At the end of the season the top 3 in points will receive a prize car of their choice up to 1 million/750,000/500,000 respectively.

Wednesday August 31st 9pm EST I will hold a draft. Everyone signed up will have their PSN drawn at random to select their vehicle of choice for the season. Only 2 of each vehicle will be available. I will choose last since I tested the cars and know the strengths and weakness of each car. I will aslo not be eligible for championship prizes.

If you do not intend to participate in at least 6 races please do not sign up. This league is intended for racers who want clean, fair, close competition.

Q: So the cars are supposed to be equal at 520 hp / 1390 kg?
 
Believe it or not they are very equal. Having the same power to weight ratio really brings out each cars characteristics. So some cars may be stronger on a certain type of circuit than others.

Really? Thanks for the info. I didn't know that. Just trying to keep it on the first page to try and gain some interest. I used to race a GTR2 league with GT cars and it was a lot of fun. Close competition. Really hoping some people jump in I would love to get a GT league going on GT5.
 
Hi there everyone,I am in GMT+8 so does this mean the race would be on Wednesday 12 midnight for me?

I am quite keen to be in this series for the next month or so as it is the hoilday season here.

And while the upgrades section does say any tuning part as long as it's in PP range,I trust you guy's don't spam excess parts and use the limiter?

I am a regular in the GT3 series and we run similar cars.:D
 
Hi Phil,

EST is GMT -5. As far as the upgrades. If you wish to use excess parts and adjust the limiter that is fine. Say for the Viper for instance. If you wish to do the stage 1 engine build for more torque and higher revs and adjust the limiter for HP you may do so.

Anyway I would like to enter the 458 Italia or DB9,will let you know.

However I do have some concerns like people abusing the restrictions and using ALOT of the power limiter like >30%.
Another concern is heavy damage which will ruin your race if you get hit by another car.It has happened to me alot getting punted off by people who can't stop.

Edit:For the PP range on similar tires I do not think the DB9 will be competitive,in our GT3 series it is running race softs just to keep up...But we'll see I guess.
 
Don't go crazy with the cars just yet. Car selection will be done during the draft once enough people sign up. Names will be drawn at random and only 2 of each vehicle will be available. Also for the damage concern, I want this to be a serious, respected league. Anyone who fails to control their car and punts people consistently will be penalized. If they continue they will be asked to remove themselves from the league. There will also be a review process for anyone who wishes to protest another driver for avoidable contact.
 
Ok sounds like a plan.Hope I get either the 458 or DB9 as those are the only compatible 2 cars I own since my account went down a few weeks ago.Another similarly fast car is the LFA but as you said that'll wait.
 
I will be hosting a room tonight if anyone wants to come do some testing and chat. I will post the room number when I get it up. car list will also be updated tonight.

Depending on interest, would it be possible to have a European league?
 
United - what time zone are you in? If there are enough people interested I would definitely put a european league together.

phil - I would really like to start my own league as I don't plan on running the same championship every season. If I can get this off the ground I want to do a GT season I and maybe V8 Supercars or JGTC for the second season. I have the time set during the week because most people are busy during the weekend.

Also, if you go to the link I have on the OP that goes to the league site rules and regulations you will see they are pretty strict as well.
 
I'd like to join. But can we do it on another day? Say Tuesday or Thursday? Lots of other series are on wednesday, so those other days would be great because you could get a lot of sign ups.
 
I cant figure out how to edit the poll. Series will be Thursday nights. Euro league will stay as mentioned before
 
Works for me. What other car can be run? I feel more comfortable in the SLS than most of the others, but how about GTR? Jaguar XKR? Maybe they'd be good competition as well.
 
I want to stay with RWD cars. I have the XKR as a eligible car I just haven't updated the list yet. Other cars eligible are the Alfa Romeo 8C, Maserati Gran Turismo S, and the Lotus Esprit. I may take the SLS out of the line-up. It is really fast compared to the others even with the same PP. Also like I said with Phil, don't go crazy with car selection yet. It will be determined via a draft once enough people are on board.
