Garage Lists/Groups/Sorting

Would this be a good addition to GT5?

Hello was playing some GT5 just now and realize this could be a good addition to a future patch. What if we were able to have "groups" or "lists" of cars sort of like the "favorites" tab now, except you could custom name it

Like for example, you could have a section of your "race cars", "drift tuned cars", "Trade cars", "0/0/0 cars", etc etc.

Thoughts?

Well it's better to post a pic when it's really needed but it's not forbidden to post random pics like that.
And I like that car as well so cheers :cheers:
 
I'm also a little too new to know whether or not unrelated pics are allowed. I'd imagine that they wouldn't be disallowed, so long as the rest of the post is relevant to the topic of the thread.

Of course, the pic must adhere to this site's AUP whether or not it's related to the thread or the rest of the post it's in. Not an issue in this case since there's nothing naughty about that pic of a Fiesta, but still something to keep in mind for future reference.

BUT get back on topic haah! What do you guys think of the garage sorting idea?
 
I like the idea, Forza 3 had something like this, with GT's garage functions it would be even better.
 
I think all that I need is if I can sort my favorites like I can with the Premium and Standard tab. I'll be able to find my cars easy that way.

The favorites list is a nightmare when it's large, and most times it's easier to just go to the Standard/Premium tab and just sort by make.
 
That fiesta is really cool! Its a render is´t it?
 
Multiple favorites lists would be interesting, especially since the one in-game has a cap of 100 cars. You could have a list of favorite European cars, favorite rally cars, cars which you have put or will put chrome paint, etc.

Addendum: daus26 is right. the inability to sort cars on the favorites list the same way you can sort the standard and premium lists is lame. Hopefully it'll be part of the 2.0 update

Yes, I would have a tab called "Cars", and all 1000 of my cars would be in it so I wouldn't have to deal with the stupid standard and premium tabs.

I would thought they would put this feature in the Spec 2.0, but I think I am thinking too much.

Since they have this feature instead, "Settings sheet which allows you to save multiple car settings." we wont' have our custom folder option. Unless we make it big and lots of people vote for it.

But PD, think about it, when you have over 1000+ cars...you really need custom folder to sort out the garage.
 
Wouldn't it be good to have custom folder instead of favorite.
You can name it - F1, Street Tunning, GT500, Rally, Stock.....etc

But I guess we will never receive this option to sort out the garage.

I agree. I hate how the standards and premiums have to be separated. I don't mind driving standard cars at all (especially as they are now getting some sort of cockpit view) so I'd rather just have an 'all cars' list.
 
That would be nice. Instead of using favorites for all my tuned cars, I could group them by class.
 
When would PD be able to make this?
with the new 2.02 update, I love those standard cars even more with the new rims.
100 favorite cars is not enough, please give us the ability to create custom folders to sort out our garage.
It will be a lot better then different type of filters.
