HEAD TO HEAD SPECIAL

Further explaination of the theme from Nato_777.

"The ageless battle of good and evil rages - I want to see your 'saintly white' or 'beastly black'
beauties. Choose your allegance - good or evil! Some creative license in the interpretation of
the theme within the image and/or in the cars' 'behavour' is permittted - even encouraged ;).
Multiple cars are allowed in shot but they must all be white or all be black.
Please note that I'm not looking for B&W photos and would prefer colour. :)

Cars: Any - must be either white or black
Locations: Any.
Phototravel: Sure, go ahead.
Unique Restrictions: Car(s) must be white or black.

SSC_Rules.jpg

Please, ensure you read and understand all requirements for this competition. Failure to follow
the rules may result in disqualification. If you have questions, send me a Private Message.

This Thread will answer many possible questions you may have.

  • Entries for the competition this week must be sent to the Judge Nato_777 Via
Private Message and not posted in this thread, any pics posted in this thread will not be
considered for the poll. Use the Submit Entry button to ensure your entry goes to the judge.
  • Your PM must consist of a preview image no bigger than 500px at the largest side with a
direct link to the full size image.
  • Your first entry will be your last, you will not be allowed to change your entry so be happy
    with it.
  • One entry per user. It must be your own work, and never previously used in a competition.
  • Do not use a photo from your Gallery or post your photo shoot in your Gallery until after
the competition (and poll if you made it) has closed.
  • Preview images can not exceed 500 pixels in either direction.
  • A preview image must be representative of the full-size image. Do not add effects to it.
  • Winner chooses the following week's theme and becomes Judge for that week.
  • Winners cannot enter in their own theme!
  • The poll will be H2H style: entries must choose a "team", leading to two 6-picture, 4-day polls.
The winners from each faces off in a final 48 hour poll.
  • The poll entries will all be hosted by me so that links cannot be traced to the owner
    of the photo.
  • The Host may ask for the original image and it must be submitted if so.
It's recommended to save the original image (preferably in-game) until week's ends.
  • It is recommended you host your image on ImageShack, Photobucket, or Flickr.

SSC_Editing.jpg

What you may not do to a photo:

  • Remove items from shot (scenery, other cars).

All black or white you say. Does this mean we need to have black or white wheels too? Just checking

You may notice that this week is a 2.0 Edit week again. I have done this so that the SSC and CCCL comps don't both have a PMC or 2.0 Edit on the same week as this meant that each week there were either 3 PMC comps and 1 2.0 Edit or 3 2.0 Edit and 1 PMC. Now there will be 2 PMC and 2 2.0 Edit each week + Photoshop Comp of course.

@ nismo33 - Wheels don't have to be black or white. :)

Thank you so much for doing this. I was thinking about asking you to do that but I never did. This will make the weeks more balanced.

An idea just struck me what with Spec II coming and the ability to take pictures with your driver in them can we do that or not.

Probably, I think I'll reserve judgement on that until I see exactly what we can do in that regard with Spec II though.

I have a feeling that Spec 2 may cause a land rush of entries that all look identical with everyone trying to the first with any new tricks.

Great entries so far - it seems you all are an evil lot!
Where are all the good boys and girls? ;)

Spec II has arrived, I've had a play around in Photo Travel and I can't see any reason why you can't use your avatar in the shot, although I also can't see it contributing much to the theme.

Good to hear Nato there's the possibility of colour coordination between car and driver somewhat like the theme implies so for instance the evil car and driver and its also a good excuse to play around with it really :).

to be honest ,.. avatar or not it doesnt matter we all know sometimes which picture belongs to who , and if iam very ery honest you have to look on the "picture Link" to see who does it belongs to , ..

My girl said I should use the white car, because it's so PRETTY!

We'll see.....
it´s better to do that otherwise we will never hear anything from you again... depending on your girl´s mood of course ;) :dopey:

In most cases I don't think having the avatar in a Photo Travel shot will identify the owner of the image any more so than being able to see the driver's helmet in a Photo Mode shot.
I have no idea really what anyone else's avatar is wearing and I personally change my avatars suit and helmet quite frequently and usually do so for a Secret Santa shoot if I've had the same helmet for awhile and think people might recognise it.
Oh and all picture links in the poll lead to my PhotoBucket account so you can't tell whose photo is it from the link. :)

Another update:- Entries received so far 50% Evil / 50% Good. :) Keep 'em coming though - just to make my job harder. :P
