I'm sure many of us are familiar with the 276hp government-mandated cap on cars produced by Japanese automakers for their domestic market that was once in place and the fact that some of these cars exist in the game, in the form of numerous Skylines and Subaru/Evos. I was wondering which of these cars see respectable power gains once the engine is overhauled in GT Auto and which might just have the highest. On another note, does anyone else find the Nissan mm-R Cup Car absolutely adorable? :dopey:

The overhaul only restores engine to its original condition so if the car was built with only 276hp, it would return to that figure.

Didn't some of those cars make more than the 276bhp that they were supposed to make though?

The cars are only advertised at 276hp/280PS. They may have more than that when they actually arrive in your garage. If you want to know that actual, garage power ratings, use the full carlist I put together and which is stuck to the top of this forum. It has the genuine, garage power ratings for every car - and of course that's before the oil change...

To clarify (something I obviously should have done, but hindsight is always 20/20), some of these 276hp/280hp cars are as such when they appear in the UCD, before even an oil change. I have noticed a couple Skylines get a bump to well over 300 simbly by overhauling the engine and was wondering if anyone has seen some particularly high gains by doing this on a 276hp/280ps JDM car.

And Famine, I sincerely appreciate the unlock that allowed for the amendment.

A couple to get it going:

Nissan Skyline GT-R M-spec Nur (R34) '02 - 820.0 miles
Before: 276hp at 6800rpm - 289.31ft-lb at 4400rpm
After: 353hp at 6800rpm - 367ft-lb at 4400rpm

Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II N1 (R34) '00 - 36,976.2 miles
Before: 276hp at 6800rpm - 289.31ft-lb at 4400rpm
After: 340hp at 6800rpm - 354ft-lb at 4400rpm
